Zane was much too intent on his drawing, and even when the girl approached him, he hardly noticed her. Having been living in an environment that was very busy and boisterous, Zane had grown accustomed to such conditions and learned to ignore his surroundings to focus completely on his art work. And in the current position he was in, he didn't want to move, for fear that he might mess up the drawing now that he'd found the perfect inspiration. He already got the outline of the trees and was starting to add in the details with shading, yet again making them appear as though they would in a photograph. He even got the dry leaves on the ground drawn in, creating a majestic scenery on his sketchpad. He wasn't going to work on this to his full extent, though, as this was just a small page on his sketchpad. He was going to sketch this out, then transfer it to a larger piece of paper, and then frame it, possibly paint it. That was how all of his drawings went. Sketch, drawing, then either painted or just framed up. Sometimes he even sold his artwork for some decent prices to people that Veronica recruits to look at his work once in a while..

Only when the girl spoke was Zane partially wrenched from his trance, but instead of turning to look at her, he simply kept leaning against the tree, eyes fixated on the group of trees. She definitely wasn't Veronica, so why was there a need for him to respond? Eh, but by the sound of her voice, Zane knew that he would have to answer her.. There was a sharpness in her tone, and it was clearly some sort of indication for him to not look at her, no matter how tempted he was to see who she was. Zane wasn't a man of many fears, and the fears that he did have were all related to his family being harmed. Other than that, it isn't easy to frighten or daunt the boy. From where he'd heard her voice, Zane was able to determine that she was a few feet from him, and when he listened closely, he was also able to infer that she was rather petite. Something about this girl was rather intriguing, but he wasn't able to determine what.. Before he could ponder on that too much, Zane shoved that thought aside and went back to sketching out the trees a bit more, getting in some shading and some pathways for sunlight. Now, the scenery was finished. All he needed was to draw a wood nymph..

Having forgotten that the girl was there, Zane took a breath as he considered his answer, wondering why the girl even asked such a question if the answer was clearly obvious. "Oh, you know, looking around for the Easter bunny.." He said in response, in a lot more perkier tone than he'd intended, but it was clear that he was kidding. After adding some final touches to the trees in his drawing, Zane tapped one end of his pencil against his chin, seeming quite tranquil, but he was still a bit unsettled by the girl's presence.. Something about her made his shoulders stiffen. "I'm drawing..." He then muttered after a while, gazing over at the trees as he started to pinpoint an area where the wood nymph would be.. "What are you doing here?" He then asked, wanting to just shut his sketchpad and walk off, as he hated interacting with anyone besides his sister. But he wasn't going to do such a thing right now, even if this girl would try to chase him off... He kept his gaze away from her, but even when he did that, his heart rate seemed to pick up as his body went rigid, discomfort clearly displayed in his pale gray eyes. Something was making him want to run back to his family and fight for them, but.. He wasn't sure what the hell was going on, but he hated it.

Caleb almost jumped when he heard a voice from behind him, but he soon realized that it was only number one, Lighter. He let out a sigh of relief before moving himself closer to Lighter, and gave him a nod of acknowledgement. He didn't really know how he was supposed to react to Number One. He didn't know if he was leader, or if the numbers didn't really show anything. He was number three, one of the middle ones, so... what did those numbers mean? He decided that it really wasn't worth anything to dwell on it. But then when Lighter began walking in the direction of the camp, he simply fell into step behind him. He also had been asked a question, he soon realized and responded, "Oh, I just went for a walk and I found myself under a tree. Lost track of time, y'know?" He followed after Lighter and no words were spoken for a few moments, giving Caleb enough time to catch up with Lighter and match his stride to the one that Lighter presented him with. After he was caught up, he heard Lighter say something to him, and so he turned his head and cocked his head slightly. "Um... Headaches? My twi- I mean my good friend used to get horrible headaches. I think what he sometimes did was wet a rag and held it up to his head. Or sometimes he just had to drink some water and that would help him a lot. Why? Do you have one?" A little bit of concern showed through towards the end of his statement, more near the question.

There were two main reasons that Caleb tended to get a little worried about headaches; 1. because they were like hell to have and 2. because sometimes they would lead to more serious things like migraines, and those can be really hard to get rid of. As they walked, Caleb didn't really know what to say, so he kept up with their brief talk of headaches, "Do you know if there's water nearby?" Hopefully he knows that I'm talking about a stream or river... Because I haven't really done much 'checking out' of the area. Or do you have any water at camp?" Both the things that he had said might be good to do required water, so if there wasn't any water... It would all be pointless and he would feel kind of bad that he wasn't able to help Lighter at all. The woods around them weren't exactly the most inviting to a boy more used to having people around, but damn were they gorgeous. He turned his eyes away from the forest floor, there were more pressing matters at hand. He surveyed Lighter's face carefully, he seemed like he was in pain. He stopped for a second and asked "Dude, are you sure you're okay?" He had a look in his eyes that showed he wouldn't believe him if he said yes, but y'know, he couldn't stop him if he didn't want too much help.

[ Hey there. I am just letting you know that I won't be on tomorrow. I have to go to Six Flags, then I have a swim meet right after. I will be on my phone tonight, and a phone clearly can't match the length of a post when I'm on a lap top. Plus, I don't want to waste all the battery life. Alas, I may post in a couple days. Just a heads up. ]
