    Staying still for a moment, the red-head watched Cole twirl through Ingo gracefully, blue and golden eyes trained on him as a smile quirked over her lips. Swimming lightly after him, she dove and wove her way through Ingo humming a melody that had been stuck in her head all day, one that her mum had sung to her often when she was little. Delving deeper into Ingo and after Cole, she smiled as the male seemed to forget he had her following and stayed quiet as she followed him into the cave. Her eyes filled with wonder and she drew a deep breath at the inside."Oh, wow."she breathed, wonder in the notes of her voice. Swimming forward lightly, her shadowy tail stirred ripples in the shallow water, and small waves lapped at the rocks that jutted and dotted the cave randomly. Shaking her head slightly in wonder, she pulled herself up onto a rock beside Cole's, and followed his gaze towards the ceiling, were dots of light shone through the hole-ridden rock."Cole, how did you come across this place?" Hollie's voice was soft and her eyes large as she tried to absorb the scene surrounding her.

    "Not green?" Miles finished for the girl, raising a brow. He had heard her ask the question about Quinn and a look of pain flickered over his face, as he fought an internal battle over whether or not to tell Shiloh. Finally, the side that argued he barely knew the girl won out and he decided to keep his trap shut for the time being. Glancing back at his own tail, which Shiloh couldn't seem to take her eyes off, Mile's forced a grin, but it looked easy on his face. [color=#40BFFF]"This is going to sound weird, but if you want to feel it, I'm cool with that, since you seem to have a fascination with my tail."Miles joked, trying to keep his expression bright. As an afterthought, he added:"If you want, I could show you some of the cooler parts of Ingo. I know you don't have a tail and all, but you could hold onto my shoulders, and we could stay near the surface." Just the thought of showing another girl around Ingo made Miles clench his teeth. His father wouldn't hurt another person. Not on Miles watch. Realizing Shiloh was still there, Miles blinked and tried to keep his expression somewhat happy so as not to make the girl think he was being absorbed in his own little world.

At Miles' first words, she smiled, nodding. "Yea. Not green." She smiled sheepishly, glancing back up at his face in time to see a flicker of something like pain and regret cross his brow, before he unsuccessfully tried to wipe the look off of his face. Shiloh bit her lip, knowing she never should have mentioned the human, or brought up the subject. Moving her eyes back to down to his tail, Shiloh stared for a few moments more, before Miles' voice startled her out of her admiration, giving her permission to feel his tail. She laughed, not being able to force herself to disagree, seeing how awkward it probably made him. She lifted her hand slowly, running her fingertips along the edge of his tail on the side that was closer to her. She smiled, feeling the smooth scales slide past the tips of her fingers, slick and metallic. She looked back up at him, then back to his tail. "It's amazing.." She murmured, more to herself, than to the Mer who's tail she happened to be stroking. She lifted her hand after a few minutes, wondering what it would be like to have a tail like that.

Raising her gaze as Miles spoke, Shiloh's eyes widened a bit as his suggestion, surprised that he would allow her to enter the water, if all he said had been true. "Really, you'd do that?" She asked in disbelief. She happened to glance at him in time to see the muscle on the side of his jaw tighten, and she wondered if it was still the human that was on his mind. She ended up assuming that it was, and she knew better than to ask again. If he ever wanted to tell her, she would listen. And if he didn't, she would be there all the same. She knew the feeling of keeping secrets about one's life, and not wanting to share them with others. Hearing Miles continue, Shiloh smiled. "Okay, yea. I'd love to! If you're sure it's safe.." She now didn't picture all Mer as beautiful creatures of the water that were there to talk, and swim, like Miles. She now pictured them for what they really were; untrustworthy. The only Mer she now knew she could trust was Miles. Not even Ryder had told her the whole truth.

    Miles smiled, for once, a real smile as she felt his tail. It had to be amazing to someone who only just recently learned about the Mer people. He remembered the first time Quinn and he had gone swimming together in Ingo. She had been so amazed, it was as if she had never been anywhere as amazing, which he supposed, it was quite hard to not be amazed at Ingo. The soft smile still lighting his features, the male nodded at Shiloh."I told you that Ingo is just as amazing as it is terrifying. And with me, no one should attack us, especially the Rebels. Some even like to see humans swimming around here.Slipping into the water, Miles dove under for a second, popping back up, his hair wet, eyes bright, his tail powerfully holding him up."Alright, come on in, and we can go around. Staring patiently up at the female, he watched a few emotions slide across her face as she seemed to consider his offer from earlier, and he smiled lightly, green, brown, and orange eyes sparkling. He had a feeling the human trusted him, for that which he was glad. He didn't want to scare her away from Ingo. She was the first human girl he'd spoken to in quite some time, and he missed their company."You will be perfectly safe with me.Miles assured her. He wouldn't let something like what had happened to Quinn happen again, ever. Maybe, if he and Shiloh became close enough, he would tell her about the girl.

Shiloh watched as Miles got down into the water, his tail supporting his wait. She kept a small smile on her lips, even though she was about to burst with excitement. Ryder would never have let her do this! He didn't like Shiloh getting anywhere near Mer territory, much less in the company of another Mer. But, for some reason, Shiloh didn't care. She nodded, on a last thought, as if agreeing with herself, and slid down into the water beside her new Mer friend. "Okay. I trust you." She spoke calmly, sure of herself. Ryder sometimes spent hours swimming about, so she was sure that they would get back before he did. She looked over at Miles, sliding her arms around his shoulders, looking over at him, her eyes bright. "Alright, I'm ready." She took a deep breath, as she prepared to go underneath the waves. She might not be an excellent swimmer, but one thing Shiloh was good at was holding her breath.

Cole Daniels Bonadair||18||Half-Mer||Rebel||Calm||Talking/Sitting||Tagged: Hollie
He let his tail lazily swing in the water as he watched the beauty of the cave unfold and reveal its secrets to the world. He looked over at Hollie as she entered, truly looking awestruck by the place. He watched her look around and swim over to sit down. As she asked her question he gave a small shrug. It was so long ago he could barely remember, it was back when he was a reckless little boy who hadn't a care in the world. He was the one playing around and exploring all day. He could picture the day clearly.
Cole swam around joyfully, laughing and spinning around in the cool waters. It was his first swim since his father dissapeared and the first time he allowed himself to enjoy life instead of grive with his mother. He scooped up a rock and tossed it, chasing after it. He continued this for several times before it trickled through a layer of seaweed and dissapeared. Curious Cole swam over to the hole and pulled the seaweed aside. He flinched, expecting something to eat him. But when nothing did he looked back down, before him was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Carefully he pulled himself in and looked around. Hours later he was still playing, doing absolute nonsense.
Cole smiled at the memory of his first time here. "Well I was swimming one day and threw a rock. It went in here and I followed it, found this place." he looked over at her as she stared up at the ceiling of the cave. But no sooner had he shifted back to the pieces of coral around them.
