A few words: Taking the genus "Didelphis" (in which possums are found), the Latin word "volans" which means to fly/flying creatures, Latin suffix -pteron meaning "wing", and the last one I was thinking "marsupial" -- as possums are marsupials. xD

I love the name Marsuvolan as well... you know, this means that these creatures must have LITTLE POUCHES TO CARRY THEIR BABIES IN. If they have one at least. xD And gawsh, their babies... would be. so. small. and. adorbs. <3
