@doctordraca :: thank you, yeah i'm usually fine with light source but
on this drawing i felt the shading was too dark so i "brightened" the light ;u; OTL
but i'll keep that in mind, thank you very much !
your OC is very cool, i really love how you have a backstory to go with him
as well as the "symbolic" wings in the picture. i'd love to see a full body picture some time !
the only thing i'd say about the particular drawing is that the background sort of bothers me,
it's very "bold" and distracts me a bit from the lovely character. I don't know xD
———
@nix | ink weaver :: unfortunately i do not draw humans so i can't be of much help D:
however, there are some things i see right off that bat ...
Firstly, "you" are way too skinny. The actually waist is not too bad,
but it looks like there are no hips there ! This also goes for Aiki.
Also, try and add "definition" to the hair. Especially on Trippy, the hair looks very flat and unrealistic.
Anyways, I think it's neat that you are doing this for your friends, good work c:

Need a little help with a drawing of my 'pack' (What I like to call them) which are my RL friends.
Just a sketch at the moment but redlining would be awesome!

Me in the middle, to my right (If your looking out of the pic) is Aiki, the girl next to her we'll call Trippy and the girl to my other side we'll call Ratchet just for the purpose of specifying one another.
I won't put up their pictures for privacy and safety but I do need help with the anatomy as such which makes it rather hard but there is really no other way.
Me: I have a rather, oval type face that slants off toward the end but not dramatically and my face is quite curved. My eyes I would say are small - medium. I am of average size, skinny but not dramatically so. My hair is relatively straight however in the pic I was using as reference I have the one lock of hair that curls.
Aiki: She has a face that could be called almost diamond shaped when she smiles but not angular, when not smiling her face is oval shaped but more circular than mine. Her eyes are small and when she smiles you can hardly see them at all. Her hair is probably down to her shoulder blades and she is bigger in size than me but not massive and she also is slightly shorter than me. <3
Ratchet: She is very slim because of her fast metabolism and has an oval face bordering on rectangular although not at all defined, she has small to medium shaped eyes with extremely curly hair that she usually has tied back.
Trippy: She has an oval shaped face that slants of steeply toward the chin which is rounded, she is taller than me but the same height as Ratchet, her eyes seem to slant off more toward the end like Aiki's. Her nose is slightly larger than the rest of the group (but still gawjus!;)) and I am having trouble capturing that.
i can redline this. I drew a picture like this of all my friends once.
i cannot draw likenesses from description alone because i'm not a sketch artist for the police, so it might not look like the people

I love drawing men and all things manly and gay.
I can't draw animals at all, I just like to look at them and wish I could
I rarely take commissions for anything other than real money, sorry kids

Nix, I'm going to give you some bad advice. Not bad as in horrible, but bad as in people don't like it.
When you're having problems with your friends' body proportions, quickly trace over one of their photos to see how their build is like. Just to understand their body more. It sounds creepy, but it helps. I'm not saying you should use the traced lines in your artwork, it's more of a study, really. A study and something to correct your drawn lines with. :D
I like how you've drawn the faces so far, though. Your eye style is pretty darn neat!Zephayer wrote:your OC is very cool, i really love how you have a backstory to go with him

Haha, thanks.
I was sketching it and then realised I had too much open space so I just did something.
The background is the real artwork, really. ;D
Mr. Milo, I won't give you a redline as I'm not confident with felines, but I did notice something odd. The front leg (closest to us) seems a little stiff. The paw is also angled a bit oddly, pointing upwards. This may be a good ref to fix that, though.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. I can compliment you, though. The facial structure is gorgeous. I love the outlines of the eyes. And I like the idea of it holding/protecting the gift box too. C:
Neelix, that's pretty cute. Cuddling Yin and Yang cats. <3
---------------
Originally, it was just a sketch but when I realised it resembled an older drawing, I put them next to eachother as a comparison.
And boy, do I love comparisons, especially unintentional ones.
You all should do it too. Just take an old artpiece and redraw it. Or take two pieces with a similar subject and see how much your style has changed. It's quite interesting and fun to see the changes.

Oh my god... I would join if my mother wasn't picking me up in 10 minutes. Love you any way Alex.
Also, Draca, I noticed a huge difference in just that one year. Your lines are thicker and more confident, and your anatomy is looking more accurate and unique to you. Overall, it's truly your own style. I absolutely love it. Well done. ^_^

On another note... I made another picture of Cross, only slightly younger and a little bit more angsty.
Funny, I only ever draw him in depressing situations. In reality, Cross is quite amusing and fun to be around.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone would purchase their character in this animation lineart if I were to sell it? :>
Shiko, I saw Cross earlier. I think that it looks really good, I love the shading and highlight style. The background really compliments Cross. ^^
Doctor Dracca, I really like both styles! I wish I could draw people that well..haha! The emotion on the newer piece shows well.
