Hi guys, i will be posting pics of nuttmeg in his cage tomorrow!
p.s. although you give them to free homes, there are rescue hamsters that need adopted, so breeding does increase the population and stop rescue hamsters from being adopted. I am just saying, after all, i believe you shouldn't judge people, espicially people you don't know!

Yes, I know. But where I live, there isn't any hamsters from shelters that need to be adopted, my shelter only has cats and dogs.

Wolf_Therian_Sadies wrote:Why are you breeding your pets just to sale them?! I really hate people who do that. (no offence) It's cruel to breed am animal just to make a profit, it is the same as puppy farming/ mills which is where they breed to make a profit. These are lives. The amount that animal goes through. It is the same as a human getting pregnant if not worst. They go through the stress of being pregnant, the stress of giving birth, the stress of raising their young just for someone to make money.
Responsible breeders and people who take care of their animals are no problem.... even IF they sell the babies.
From your argument, it makes it seem like you disagree with women being pregnant as well because it is too stressful? I dont believe that it is worse for an animal being pregnant than a human. In fact, it's probably easier on them. To these animals, breeding is instinct. It's what makes their species survive naturally in the wild. Much of what animals do is purely instinct.
There really are NOT that many rescue hamsters from what I've seen from my ventures around a few different states and the internet. A couple of litters of healthy baby hamsters from one person is not going to make much of a difference.
Cinnamon- Good luck to your little girls and their babies. :3

oh my gosh, i went to a petstore today, not my usual but a different one, and there was one hamster, a long hair syrian, adult, he was in such a tiny cage.... and they keep the tops off the tanks so people can reach in and pick them up, one man was grabing one and the hammie tried to run but the man caught his leg.
