I adored Iron man the first time I watched the Avengers...
then I watched thor, and actually understand why Loki is the way he is... and yeah... he became my favourite character,
Iron Man's backstory was the only backstory i knew going into the avengers for the first time.

How is it boring?
The Hulk's origin story was the worst out of all of them. Bad movie, in general, bad writing, bad acting.
The only redeeming feature was Tony stark's little cameo at the end of The Incredible Hulk...

Well, don't get me wrong. Iron Man is a great hero, but I just hate Robert Downey Jr. and I had a really hard time enjoying the movie not only because of that but because of the beginning of the movie just wasn't that intriguing

I admit the beginning was a little slow.

I didn't like Captain america's origin story much either....

I haven't watched Captain America. I don't really want to watch it.

Once you get past the first half hour of Iron Man it gets okay. I didn't watch either of the Iron Man movies or Thor until after I saw the Avengers.
I still haven't watched Captain America.

Apparently there is an order to how you are supposed to watch the origin stories

Captain America first (Because it's set in WW2)
Then The incredible Hulk
The Iron man 1&2
and Thor last

Then Avengers.
