We'll all be alone together then. xD I'm going to make a small scale RP soon enough specifically for homosexual characters(with some bizarre fantasy plot as per typical for me), but I doubt it'll get far.
Onexoneing for this kind of thing have never worked for me. >_> Once I actually got a partner who looked dedicated, but their character... thing mary-sue and shirtless constantly. *shivers*

    With persistence I'm sure it can get pretty far. And dedicated members. But that is a rare thing these days, unfortunately. ;_;

Haha, next time you get a shirtless mary sue in a 1x1, have the setting be set in a village in the mountains, where it always snows. Then comment with logical reasons as to why the character can't walk around without a shirt lest they want to freeze to death.

Hi everyone! May I join, Smamm? I would love to be a part of this important and necessary forum.

Here's my application...

Username: Katyd

Favorite type of RP: As far as characters go, I prefer to write Humans or Humanoids, as opposed to animals or anthropomorphized animals.  As far as genres go, I prefer time travel, science fiction, and western. Fantasy and superpower RPs are okay too, if they aren't allowed to be ridiculous.  Romance RPs are not my thing, although drama and romance as part of a bigger storyline is fine.  So most High School RPs are not something I would be interested in, since romance is always a big part of those. I will write either gender and either sexual preference.

Sample of writing:
First example: Calvin on the Sky High school bus, first day...
To give Violet time to think, Calvin turned around to introduce himself to the boy who had chimed in earlier to his poll about cats.  Allen had been fairly quiet since then, only chatting a bit with the girl who had recently come to sit next to him.  Calvin had heard them introduce themselves to each other a few minutes ago, so he already knew their names, Allen and Zia, but he didn't want to seem presumptuous.

He smiled at them first and then shoved his hand at the boy with the pale, almost silver hair and delicate features.  "Hi!  I'm Calvin Hershey," and with an exaggerated groan, he added, "And yes, I've heard it all... 'Are you milky or dark?  Sorry, I prefer thin bars to chunky bars.'  And, as you can imagine, lots of nut references... 'Do you have crunchy nuts?  How many nuts do you have? Are you nutty or plain?'  Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.  There's probably nothing you could say that I haven't heard already.  Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for answering my poll, and to introduce myself."

He smiled at them again, but his gaze settled on the very pretty Zia.  She had brown hair, full lips, and penetrating hazel eyes that made him strangely uncomfortable.  He gulped, feeling suddenly self-conscious, which was very atypical of him.

2nd example: Calvin's power placement tryout...
Here goes!  Calvin walked up to the senior tour guides, flashing a sheepish grin in their direction... "My power isn't very impressive," he explained to them.  "Sorry guys," he added, turning and apologizing beforehand to the other students.  I hope they buy this, Calvin prayed silently.

He stilled himself and concentrated his mind on someone he hadn't yet met, on... Thete, a red-haired viking of a kid who stood about ten feet away.  For effect, he furrowed his eyebrows and brought a hand to his forehead as if mind beaming was a difficult thing for him to do.  He spent almost a full three minutes doing this, shifting his weight from side to side a bit, moaning quietly yet dramatically under his breath, until he saw the crowd begin to fidget and grumble and eye him skeptically.  The imp in him wondered how long he could draw this out before someone blew a gasket.  !!BOOM!!  He'd slapped his hands together suddenly and forcefully, making everyone jump.  "Thete... is feeling a bit bored and depressed at having to be here today," he said loudly and boldly.  "Although he's normally a very vital, interested sort of guy, so don't let his current demeanor fool you.  He's got a lot to offer, very talented," he finished, and then he took a small bow, and stood there silently waiting, gauging the reaction of his fellow students.

They stared at him and at Thete and at each other with expressions that ranged from bewilderment to mild appreciation to blatant irritation.  'That's it?' someone in the back said.  Sweat beads broke out on Calvin's forehead.  Visions of tarring and feathering flashed through his mind.  I'll pay for this some day.

Finally, before the crowd set upon him, he turned to the seniors, and explained, "I can read people's general mood, no matter how they appear outwardly, and I can tell you what their basic personality is like."  He wasn't lying, he COULD do those things.  Thete WAS a life force to be reckoned with.  But what he DIDN'T tell them about Thete was even more interesting.

Any semi-lit/lit RPs you have:  I am new to RPing on CS, so I don't have any of my own RPs up yet.  I have only been in one RP so far.  I limit myself to one or two RPs at a time, so as to not spread my writing time too thinly. I am a big believer in structured storylines and well-managed RPs because I don't believe an RP can survive without those elements.

I hope I can be a part of your community here. I would love to have the opportunity to discuss RPing with like-minded individuals. Thanks for your consideration! :)

Oh God, I know that feeling when you have the only homosexual charrie in a RP D: I don't have that much homosexual charries, but I lo~ove RPing them~
I once joined a yaoi-yuri RP site, but even though I enjoyed it, it died in a couple of months ;A;
And shirtless Mary-Sue, WTH? This world is going crazy. .-.

Yes, too many homosexual characters getting excluded. I never have one, but I feel bad for those who make one and have them just fall out... :c

Sorry for the late reply! I didn't see this, haha. You mean the intro, right? I have it all typed out normally. Here:

All of the characters will be referred to as the Dreamers. The dreamers are special people who, whenever they go into one of their psychedelic fits, are transported to their dream world. There, as the name implies, they have their own world in which they can spend a peaceful [or not so peaceful] time, molded after their personality, inner desires, fears, or hopes. While they are in their own world, they don’t remember much from their real life, only snippets and foggy memories. In these worlds, they also meet other dreamers. Usually, all of the dreamers end up in one world per dream. The world is never the same in the second dream, and they are always hopping between their fellow dreamers’ worlds. Sometimes, they might end up in an uncharted territory, or worlds called “the Link”, which connect all of their dreams together.

Now, the dreams seem simple at first. Whenever the dreamers wake up, they don’t remember much from their dream. But they might feel the effects of it, like feeling fatigued for no reason, when they had, in fact, been running or doing another strenuous activity in their dream world. But as time passes, the dreams begin becoming more and more tangible. The denizens that dwell in the dreams begin coming out, and normal people begin going in. Something is happening to the world, and the dreamers are being guided by an otherworldly, invisible entity, them being the only ones capable of setting things right, as they are the only ones who are somewhat in control of their dream worlds.

There are other people out in the world who have their own dream worlds, but they never jump through worlds, nor do they remember or feel anything from their dream when they wake up. They experience their dream worlds just like a normal dream, and only a force of great power can make them aware. And now, something is doing just that, waking the most corrupt people, turning them into an army for itself... and only those aware of their own abilities can stop it.

If you're interested, I can send you the rest of the text. :3

What are your thoughts on a Dragon Rider role-play? It would be a bit like the Pern books with the bonding of dragons (I've only read the first three or four, so if I get something wrong don't kill me. eue) where they can only bond with one person their whole lives. It would also be the same with how the hatching of eggs go in the first few books. Apart from that the plotline's and information about it would be completely different. I have yet to think of a plot, but I've got a craving for an olderish dragon role-play.. Just hoping to see who all would be interested before I devulge into the imagination of my brain.
Also, please note that the dragons may or may not be played out. (:

Yeah, I always pity one of my roleplay's members, because all of our few guys are straight (pretty much everyone's) or not looking (one of mine has no idea what sexuality he is, and doesn't care.)

At least romance isn't the main focus of the RP, in fact, it is fairly discouraged no matter who it is between.
But sometimes, I can't help but post in OOC:
"((*hugs poor Jay* Don't worry, the AG girls and Sokyo and I will all keep you company in the loner corner~))
We're both aboard on an airship as it flies
And it's chasing for a star hiding from our eyes
And before all our feelings will subside
Let's escape past the air, the atmosphere

My eyes they looked into the night sky a bit too much
And then found light it turned into a painful touch
If this world will keep on spinning in the time ahead
You should go and find a reason to live on instead
Saying bye this afternoon is really too soon

I've already got a Pern based roleplay that really needs people. Link's here if you are at all interested. I don't mean to stop you from making another, but it seemed a perfect oppertunity to get it out there some, since it only has me, a good friend, and another roleplayer as members so far.

Starbase Typhon is a roleplay run by me, off site. It is Star Trek based (but not the new movies, as you will see) and it definetly needs people who are willing to be active, write with great grammar, and of course, are semi-literate or above. Format is play by Nova, which involves multi-person posts that are a different way of doing things that here of CS. But it's lots of fun, and we need long term people who will help us complete our missions. As the commanding officer of Typhon, I invite anyone who would like to give it a try to please apply! (Warning that quality of applications is strictly judged. Very strictly judged.) The link is in the image.
