And this? No. That's just a normal leopard.
Someone comes in and says all Amur Leopards should die. What is your reaction, and how do you stop them: First. I ask them why, and reason with them. Very calmly
If he won't budge. I try to say facts, and awesome ones and sad ones. All of them. Normal, not very calm, but calm
If he still won't budge, I debate and argue. Not calm any more. Just normal
Then if he still won't budge, I scream at him "Amur leopards are the best" and kick him a few times. And punch him in the gut[/quote]

Also, good news I somehow missed from a few months ago!
Amur Leopard populations have doubled in China, as well as Siberian Tiger populations! Yay! The species might make a slow recovery, now that their population is going up. However, they do reproduce quite slowly and tend to be picky with mates, which is an issue, considering the small population. Zoos have also said that they've been having difficulty breeding Amur Leopard before.

It's kind of sad that i'm celebrating the fact that the Amur Leopard population is now at 11 in China (it doubled, didn't shrink), and that the Siberian Tiger population is now at 10. However, considering the Amur population, it's quite a big achievement. I must also congratulate the local authorities who seized all the traps in the area, that also helped boost the population a lot. It's also a great thing that the Tiger population's going up as well, since it's been proven that Tigers are very beneficial to ecosystems.

What bugs me is that some people think Amur Leopards are just normal leopards. My sis just said when she saw the pic at the first post "Is that a cheetah?"

CHEETAHS ARE NOT LEAOPRDS OR JAGUARS!!! That irks me a LOT, when you get a leopard or jaguar plushie/figure, and it says cheetah, or, more often, vice versa. Sorry for the spam. XD

No, that's not spam at all. But yes, it irks me a lot as well, there's some obvious differences if you actually take time to look at pelts, photos, ect. Like for example, Jaguars have larger spots than Leopards and Leopard have rosettes, while Cheetahs have spots.
