X
She ran from her reality, cryingHe slammed the door, screaming
She lost her wayHe tired lose his
She tripped and fellHe kicked at the grass
Her cheeks stungHis Teeth Clenched
She curled in on herselfHe kept walking
She pleaded silently for helpHe tripped over her on the sidewalk
She looked down at himHe looked up at her
She sniffed again, still cryingHe reached up, wiping a tear away
She smiledHe laughed
They helped each other up
They left their troubles behind
They wondered together under
A moonlit sky~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Sun began to Rise
Her smiles were fadingHis laughs were growing stale
She looked up at the skyHe looked down at their hands
Her eyes began to tearHe asked what she feared
She kissed his lips gentlyHe closed his eyes and held her close
She hugged him back, then let goHe opened his eyes and began to gasp
She put a finger to his lipsHe shook his head and held her tight
But then she faded as a mist
Doomed to forever live only in the night
Leaving this account.
I just... need a clean start.

I've decided it's time to move on, and so I've quit CS. It's been a good three years, but, well, as of May 2014, I don't think I'll be coming back. I'd like to say thank you, to all of you. Thank you for encouraging me, inspiring me, and being my friends. I've had so much fun, but this is the end. Seeing as this is my last visit, I've changed my username back to the original, Rebel Faery. It's a name that I no longer go by, but a name I'll always remember. I'm so sorry to every fan of TIAJNAD, to everyone that read my writing, to, well, everyone. But it's time to move on. To make like Elsa and let it go. (I was still on CS when Frozen came out. It feels like so long ago.)
let it go, let it go, and I'll rise like the break of dawn
let it go, let it go, that perfect girl is gone
here I'll stand, and here I'll stay
let the storm rage on
the cold never bothered me anyway

Benvito & the butlerBenvito sloshed the bloody liquid around in its crystal glass.
"Charming," she smirked, dipping her head back and polishing off the drink.
Beside her, the butler made not a movement, save the occasional blink or breath. He held his tray flat on his right palm, leaning down towards Benvito, where she could see multiple glasses all filled to the brim, with the same scarlet liquid. If it weren't for the light movement of his chest, a quick, but soft in and out, he could've been mistaken for a statue, or possibly a ghost.
For when, Benvito's fingers tightened around her neck, as she cried out in pain and despair. Desperate for anyone, anything, that could protect her from what was coming, he had disappeared. Leaving her alone. Unprotected.
And soon death appeared, quietly taking her in it's grasp, leaving the butler alone,
With a heart, that had plummeted to its depths.

the pirate - - - - the cursein a time long ago,
a selfish man sailed the seas.
he hunted for treasures,
that no one could see.
those treasures didn't exist
but the man didn't care,
for his greed drove him out,
and he sought gold everywhere.
his eyes were a red,
that blazed like a flame.
his smile was of greed,
with very little heart.
he sought out a temple,
one of emeralds and gold,
and he ignored the cries
when people told of the truth.
they warned him of the treasure,
the treasure was cursed,
but he laughed in their faces,
he didn't care for the curse.
he found this island,
far out in the seas,
and he found thise treasures,
the emerald and gold.
he touched the gold,
his heart filled with greed,
for finally he'd found the wealth
for his needs.
but as his hand laid upon the gold,
his eyes were open,
but saw nothing at all.
so now his greed is without sight,
and his lust, at last, is satisfied.
for all the wealth in the world,
could not have taught him the things he learned,
in losing his sight to his greed,
from the gold he'd sought at sea.

[
Frank Graves]
& [
Cassandra Miller, née Graves]
& [
Martin Miller]
Wipe the blood from your lip
with the flesh of your hand,
there's no thorn in the side left to grow.
So lets cherrish the names that we lost for an age
with the rue now the supper must go.
"Uncle Frank?"
"...huh?"
"Are you awake?"
"I am now. What do you want?"
"I... I think..."
"Spit it out, kid. It's too late for chatter."
"I think there's something coming."
Where traditions they blend lives a home on the mend,
the grass glistens now for alls eyes.
So lets sever the shame we have come to reclaim
with the water's retreat feel the shore for us.
Frank Graves had never been a heavy sleeper. It came with being pulled out of bed at a moment's notice to deal with crimes and what have you. So when his nephew stole into the living room at something past two in the morning, he was awake right away. He didn't really know what the kid was talking about, but it was probably nightmares or something. With a wide yawn, the chief of police threw off the thin blanket that was covering his legs and sat up on the couch.
When the red rose pales lay a thousand graves and many more
where the ghosts still haunt the day we come to the fore.
"How about you tell me what you dreamed, and then go back to bed."
"But it wasn't a dream, Uncle Frank."
"Now, I know you're probably having nightmares or something-"
"No. I'm not. Listen."
Don't look back,
for whats dead now is safe.
The exiled, a home where the soul kept safe,
take me back on the crest of a wave.
Frank sat quietly for a moment, deciding to humor the kid. And that's when he heard it. The noise was very faint, but unmistakable. It was the sound of a horde on the move.
Rip the tree from its heart,
there's no sorrow tonight
for once banished dreams sleep divine.
"Martin, go wake your mom and dad."
"They don't like me going in their room..."
"Do as I say."
Where the silence you hear is the prosper we shared,
the only blade is a razor sharp smile.
The little boy turned on his heels and scampered off down the hall, barging through the first door on the right. There were muffled thumping and squeaking noises, and then a bleary-eyed Cassandra stood peering out of the doorway at her brother.
Still the church bell rings the collective sings that still roam,
but the only thing left is the pain of nothing once more.
"Why would you tell him to wake us up?"
"He told me there was something coming, and he's right."
"Frank, that's nonsense."
"No, Cass, listen to me. Take your family and get out of here, right now."
"You're not making any sense."
"There's an army on the move, sister of mine."
"Now, Frankie, stop it. You're starting to sound like a lunatic."
Grab the leaf of the branch from the tree in the ground,
where these roots claimed the earth many toiled.
To a land that now stands under no-ones command
and her beauty let no man destroy.
She didn't believe him. Why didn't she ever believe him?! This wasn't a joke, and she needed to know that as badly as she needed to breathe. Standing up, the bedraggled chief of police brushed off his rumpled white shirt and threw the blanket he had been using over the back of the couch.
So remember the gun and the damage it's done,
the last drop as been spilled for you and I.
Let there be no despair for the rule we once shared,
brush the tear from the eye that still shines.
"I have to go back to the city, Cass. You can come with me; your family will be safe, faceless among the crowds."
"Frank, you know I can't leave here. This is my home."
"I know. And I'm so sorry. But this is a matter of life and death."
"I just... I don't want to believe you."
"There's nothing I can do about that. All I want is to keep you safe, you understand?"
When the red rose pales lay a thousand graves and many more
where the ghosts still haunt the day we come to the fore.
It seemed as though she did. She nodded, then took one last look around. Frank didn't say anything else; she needed to see that what she had now was real, before she lost it. The oncoming storm would destroy everything in its path. Frank only hoped that his sister, her husband, and their son were not in the way.
