Robin started as Cleo spoke, but he smiled warmly at her as she turned his head towards her, "I did. How was your's?" Raising himself onto his paws, the tom half climbed into the nest to pull out the pigeon. Dropping it in front of him, he set about plucking the feathers from its body as he waited for her reply. "We can use these feathers as bedding for the nest, if you want. It'll make sure we're warm for when it drops colder." The tom dropped a mouthful of feathers onto a rapidly growing pile beside him.

(-no idea what else to put-

[Nighty, at least no one you've loved has been murdered in front of your eyes and then ressurected, but you don't know what happened? xD

Free, I think that's a good idea. ^^]

Mordecai purred as Foxglove butted his shoulder, "I'm invincible, you know." When Foxglove slipped and mentioned Layla, he paused and stared at her. "What do you mean, come out? You saw her?" The tom's eyes were wide with fear, but he was feeling more protective than scared. Turning away from Foxglove, he looked around trying to figure out where Layla was. "We should get her before she can get us. Uhm, element of surprise and stuff." Honestly, he had no idea what he was talking about. He really had never fought before, as far as he could remember. For a second he felt as if he were in battle, his claws ripping into flesh and someone biting into his shoulder, but it passed as quickly as it had come. It left him feeling drained and antsy.

---

Julian stared menacingly at the cats around them before following after Layla, tail swishing. At Layla's suggestion, his eyes brightened. "Really? You'd do that? That's so nice." He looked down at his paws before continuing, embarassed. "No, I don't really know my way around. I'm, uh, new here." He didn't want to mention that he was once a housecat, if she didn't already know. She was such a pretty cat, he didn't want to ruin his chances with her because she thought he was soft or weak.

Thirteen flattened her ears at the disappointment in her friend's voice. "N-no. I'm sorry, Bandit! I was lost when I found it. It was on the edge of the city, and I've never, ever been that far out before." She sniffled, feeling like she was about to cry. "But I'm sure we could ask for directions, right? Some cat's bound to know where it is, right, Bandit? Right?"

~ ~ ~

Tannaheare flung the fat mouse he'd just pounced upon into the air, batting at it with his large paws when it landed. The mouse squeaked slighty, stunned. It tried to run away, but its tiny feet kept carrying it in circles. The tom lunched foward and pushed it backwards, tossing it into the air once more. This time, when it landed, he snapped its neck with his delicate teeth. A little human girl pointed her finger at him and screamed in the harsh, grating language of the two-legged giants. Tannaheare ignored her and trotted off behind a bush to eat his fresh-kill. Humans called cats cruel for playing with their prey, when they drove past starving men and woman in the slums everday and spat at them. At least he had the decency to end the mouse's life quickly.

Noting that Thirteen seemed close to tears, Bandit put on a fake smile. "Of course someone has to know. It's fine, really, we'll find the park. At least we know it's on the edge. That's a useful tip. We'll know to travel away from the loudest noise. We could follow the road. And the smell of grass and trees is distinctive enough that I'd be able to seperate it from the smell of the city. Also, you said humans cooked there, right? That's another distinctive smell." All that stuff could help them, right? Bandit was assuring herself as much as she was assuring Thirteen. Even so, she was doubtful that they'd find Strike. But there had to be some chance.

(OMG DID ONE OF THEM DIE? Dx Why do I not remember this? /memorylapsefail)

"You must be, to be able to survive being around me." Foxglove winked at him and trotted forwards quickly, hope her small slip-up would be missed by Mordecai. Unfortunately, that was never going to happen. As he stopped, the she-cat reluctantly turned back, avoiding his gaze as much as possible, "Well, she might be heading in the opposite direction! Actually, she probably is! I mean, why would she want to come out here...?" Her voice faded as she saw Mordecai's expression, and she sighed unhappily. There was really no point in trying to lie to him now. He wasn't stupid. Snapping her head up, Foxglove stepped quickly in front of Mordecai, cutting off his path to the road, and Layla. "No," She said in a sharp tone, her tail twitching from side to side with a mixture of worry, and anger directed at herself. "No," The she-cat replied in a calmer tone, still blocking his way, "We'll go no where near her. Not yet." And for you, possibly not ever. "I'll wait here and make sure she doesn't come down here and take us by surprise, and you... you can find us a mailbox. Preferably a large one. I think I might have put on weight since the last time I squeezed in one of those." With a toss of her head, she seated herself at the mouth of the alley with her back to Mordecai. The message was clear: this conversation is over.
Now do as I say or I'll hurt you. :U

Cat's Name: Lydoss, call me anything else and I’ll bite you.
Gender: Tom-cat
Age: Roughly 24 moons
Description: Lydoss is a beautiful Ussuri (It’s a cat breed that originates from Russia). He has pale green eyes; in a very light shade of emerald green. He is light tan as a base coat color with dark brown stripes and spots. He has a white muzzle that descends down the front of his body to his throat and chest. He also has two white paws (both left paws) and his right ear’s tip is missing. It appears that he has a scratch on his right eye, but he can see just fine out of it. He also has scars all over his body as he likes to fight and has a short temper.
Personality: Lydoss is “a cat on fire” and he knows it! This little guy will fight with anyone and when he isn’t fighting, he’s probably showing off to some she-cats somewhere. He has an extremely short temper compared to that of most cats and he is very impatient. He lets his temper get the best of him and will dual with any male cat that sets an eye on him even for a second. Female cats usually have a soft spot in Lydoss’s heart and so he will probably just show off or leave them unless they pick the fight first. Lydoss is quick-witted and always wants to put in his two-cents. He is a bit of a snob at times because he knows just how great of a cat he is (or at least he thinks he knows). He also has a habit of being quite uncaring and cold. He doesn’t like to reveal to other cats much about himself yet he will joke around about minor details that they may think is a big deal. He will go on about himself for hours, but really the cat will not know much more than when they started talking unless they knew absolutely nothing about him before. He’s kind of a flirt with the she-cats as he’s very charming in nature.
Skills: Lydoss has a skill in battle. He is an extraordinary fighter and comes out of most battles with some scratches whereas the other cat seems to be crippled in pain or dead. Because of this skill, he is also a good hunter and is very agile.
Weakness: Lydoss cannot make a commitment. He has a terrible time with it and therefore does not have a mate. Another weakness would be his short-temper. He has no patience and can get annoyed easily leading him to pick fights with almost any cat for no reason whatsoever.
History: Lydoss was born out on the streets, in a back alley with a dead end. He and his sisters survived, but one day at only 6 moons old, his mother disappeared. Lydoss’s sister Meindra died shortly after and he and his other sister parted ways. He has not seen anything of Asteran since then and assumes (or more like hopes) she is doing fine. He has lived out on the streets, holding up his pride and his chin when it comes to other cats. He’s been out here in New York all his life and knows the area on the out-skirting edge of Southern New York best because that is his favorite place in the city. He was born in the Northern, busy district of New York, but likes to spend more of his time on the outlying suburban districts of Southern New York.
Kin: Asteran ~Sister, residence unknown, possibly alive?
Meindra ~Sister, deceased due to starvation or illness
Jiathra ~Mother, who knows if she’s alive or dead
Zoac ~Father, alive and out there in New York somewhere
Mate/Crush: Not at this particular moment.
Other: I hope it isn’t too late to join seeing as you’re on page 52. It says open though…

Cat's Name: Kaywia (call her Kay though)
Gender: Female
Age: Roughly 20 moons
Description: Kaywia is a pretty little Ragdoll mix. She’s got fur that’s a bit more on the long side and she has deep blue eyes. Her markings however, are very unusual for a Ragdoll breed. She is mainly white, with just a little grey on her face and the tip of her big fluffy tail. Her face is primarily white, like the rest of her body, with some dark grey fading into light grey starting at her left eye and going up and out. It curves to create a unique marking at her forehead and covers both ears in a light grey. Her fur gets tangled easily as she’s long-haired and it usually has a few mats or burrs in it.
Personality: She’s a cunning little kitty, this Kaywia is. She likes to think first, act second. Her ambition and cleverness never cease. She likes to have fun, but she will always think of herself first. Her only regret about leaving her home is that she knew when she was going to get her next meal and what it was going to be. She didn’t have that kind of certainty on the streets, but her sarcasm and wicked-tongue never left her hanging. She is quick-witted and would rather fight with words than with claws. She’d love to play with a cat’s feelings than with a tail. Her biggest skill is manipulation and she’s very good at lying as well. Anything to get what she wants… Well a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do right?
Skills: She has a way with words so to speak. She has a very good way of conning things out of other cats and getting things for herself by stealing them from others (with their unknowing permission). She will twist words to make them mean something, but another cat would probably not understand just what exactly she is tricking them into doing.
Weakness: She has long fur and it easily gets caught on things. She’s not that strong, although she is quite intimidating due to the size of her breed.
History: Kay used to be a housecat who loved her owners and attention. She practically ruled the house although it was small and she didn’t get to go outside often. She knew how to hunt and could just as easily been where she longed to be, outdoors. When her family was moving to a larger house in New York, Kaywia escaped out the door and rushed off outside. She’s now a stray in New York City and she has life exactly as she wanted it to be.
Kin: Zalind ~Sister, current residence unknown
Kaean ~Brother, current residence unknown
Parents both unknown…
Mate/Crush: Hahahaha, you’re funny! xD
Other: Again, I hope it isn’t too late to join!

{You should be fine. Fridgy's very nice.}

Thirteen gave Bandit a wan smile, still feeling ashamed. "Y-yeah. Should we go now? It's getting kinda late, but it's still bright. I think the park was west, 'cause I remeber seeing the sun come up over the city. The sun does come up in the east, right? I can never remember." Thirteen mused. "Well, Bandit! Let's go! We're not gonna rest 'till we find Strike!" She jumped to her feet, energetic once more, and streaked down the alleyway.

{Hey Yami :) }

Layla.
She glanced over at Julian, purring softly. Shaking her head, she allowed a soft smile come into her eyes. "Of course. Wouldn't want you running into whatever killed that poor cat back there, now would I?" She asked sweetly. She swept her tail around them. "Seeing as you're new here, and don't know the ropes yet, I'd stay away from this side of town, where we are now. Yes, it's where most of the other strays live, but they're not all so nice and friendly. A lot of them would kill you without hesitation." She told him, becoming serious. But then she let her tail tip rest on his shoulder. "I'll help you, now though, so you're safe. I know lots of cats, they won't haarm you if they know you're with me." Her voice was soft, kind. Safe. Of course, all just one of the pretty she-cats illusions. A simple mind trick. She returned to helping him get the idea of the city. "If you travel east, tothe left of here, it's much desolate as far as strays go, but there are a lot more humans and traffic. There's parks though, which are nice for hunting if you don't want to be eating from dumpsters." She shrugged. She'd tell him more if he wanted to know. The city was complicated, and life here was hard.

Zeus.
He glanced at Squirel, then Fish Bones. Eyeing the old cat wearily, the young cat had a distinct feeling he might suddenly freak out go insane slasher kitty on them because of what Zeus had done to his face. He edged closer to Squirel, nudging her lightly. "We should head out, fast." He whispered in her ear, looking her straight in the eye. HE started edging backwards, out of the alley and his former home. He wasn't going back now that Fish Bones knew where he had lived. Him and Squirel could just find someplace to crash. He didn't turn his back on the old tom, merely looked at Squirel with eyes that told her he was going, and she should come for her own good. All the while he made careful, silent, steps backwards.
it's been a long time since I've been here. perhaps I'll stay awhile.
