It almost seemed like the other female wasn't going to answer the questions as a silence settled between them but just as she was giving up hope of an answer speaking began. Her ears flickered back slightly at the response. "That's horrible." She said quietly. She didn't know how a person could just get bored with a cat and boot 'em out. Glacier's gaze moved around briefly as Bear mentioned another cat but her quick glance over showed no other cats, at least that she could see. When asked a question she let her ears move forward slowly. Thinking over how she would answer she eventually spoke, "Well, my human wouldn't do such a thing. He's kept me all these years even after his lady friend left. He watches over me and the dogs well and has never shown any signs of being ready to kick us out. That's why I like at least him so much. Other humans I don't know whether or not I like." As she spoke it was apparent how fond she truly was for her owner. She hoped her reply answered Bear's question, if it didn't she'd have to think of something else to say so that it was answered.

"Ah it's okay.I can tell 'dis is new for you.You's probably feelin' like you's in a completely different world or somethin'.Come on I'm gonna' take you on the bigges' adventure you's ever had."Zeus said as helping her back over the gate and racing slowly away staying at a pace that Sienna could keep up with.He headed towards the park hoping to show her the natural beauty of nature instead of the man-made park in the gates."That's where I met Sunny and Jasper.Their the two she-cat's I live with.Been wi' 'dem for some time now.Oh and 'dat little bush over there is where I stayed my first nigh' in town.I c'n still remeber 'dat night t' 'dis day."Zeus said.Suddenly Zeus stopped and held his paw out to stop Sienna.A rabbit was walking across the sidewalk not to far in front of them and hadn't even noticed the predators."Watch 'dis."Zeus whispered slinking off towards the rabbit.With a huge burst of speed he shot out of a nearby bush and trampled towards the rabbit catching it and breaking his neck quickly.He trotted back up to Sienna and put the food down licking his bloody jaws hungrily,"Wanna' share.I bet you ain't never had a wild rabbit before.It's 'da best 'ting ever."He said nudging the carcass towards Sienna encouragingly.

"That's very interesting." I replied, forcing myself to sound respectful. Why was I being so uptight? Why was I being so fake? I was thinking too hard, that was it. Over thinking everything I do in an attempt to seem perfect. But if perfection wasn't what I was striving for what is? Happiness? Joy? Freedom?

I was lost in my own thoughts I hadn't noticed Zeus had left my side. I watched him catch the rabbit in awe. I recalled when I was a kitten, I would be chasing after butterflies all day. I would try to catch rabbits and birds but could never successfully. So butterflies were the only prey I could bring in. But now Zeus managed to catch a rabbit with ease, and I was impressed. "How did you catch it?" I asked, a smile forming on my face.

"I'll show you,"Zeus said leading Sienna to a nearby stick,"now crouch down like this and make sure all of your weight is balanced on each paw.Keep your tail up so you don't stir the grass with it.Gather your muscles,spring up and,"Zeus landed on top of the stick,"land on your prey.Now you try."Zeus said walking back over to Sienna and helping her slip into position.

[this just makes me think of when people are on like a mini-golf date and the guy is helping the girl on a shot only it's with cats and they're on a "hunting date".]

I lowered myself to the ground, holding my tail up. I kept flicking my tail about, not in irritation but in an attempt to help keep my balance. I placed one paw forward and jumped, my claws outstretched. I landed on the stick with my front paws although when my back paws hit the ground I stumbled forward. I let out a slight purr of amusement and got to my paws once more. I smiled warmly at the tom, not one of those fake smiles I force myself into but a smile of true happiness. I don't know why but although I was hurt and in a place I've never been to before full of strays, I felt safe. "That's really cool." I commented, my eyes bright in joy.

"Just as I suspected a natural born hunter!"Zeus praised as he walked up to the giggling Sienna,"Now why don't we try that on something a little harder?See that pigeon feather over there.Pretend it's a bird.Now birds are tricky they can fly so you need to be able to bring them down.Do the exact same thing but this time you want to land with one paw on the ground the other one in the air ready to snag the bird in case it get's up in the air.Like this."Zeus showed her the move and nodded towards the feather happily.

I nodded, my eyes beaming in determination. I lowered myself to the ground once more, trying my best to keep my tail from flicking back and forth as much. I stalked forward and leaped, holding my right paw up. I landed oddly on my left paw but managed to regain my balance. Despite my precautions the pigeon feather (clearly) didn't start flying away. I sunk my claws into the feather and began playing with it as if I were a kitten. I dropped the feather, half embarrassed of my kitten-like playing. "You think?" I asked in disbelief. The only thing I had ever managed to catch was a butterfly. Maybe it was instruction I was lacking. Or freedom.

Zeus grinned and walked off,"Let's try your skills on some real prey!"he exclaimed as he trotted away.
