He watched her fall, not making a move. He sat on that rock creature, not affected by it's movement. Watching her fall was interesting, in a way. He was almost cracking up as she did so. But, he didn't. Head resting on his hand, he called out "Having fun?" Of course, he wouldn't let her die, nor fall to her doom, though it was fun to watch. He rolled his eyes, as she had fallen faster then he thought. Putting a hand out, he managed to snatch her wrist, making sure not to hurt her. He pulled her up quickly and moved aside, letting her go once she was securely on the rock creature. Howling, it shook, trying to throw the two of them off before being calmed by him.
He looked at her and asked, "You OK? You fell faster then I'd have thought you would've. If you'd like, I can take you the rest of the way across." Looks like he had to high of expectations for the human girl, but what could he expect? He shrugged mentally and looked away from her towards the other side they were trying to get to. It would be a piece of cake for him, but for her? Especially if she injured herself on that fall, and he wouldn't be surprised had she. If they stayed any longer, he wasn't sure at what time that they'd make it to the Queen's castle, and at night, things were... dangerous. In a manner of speaking. He thought to himself.
He suddenly spoke up, an underlying feeling of anger deep down, "Don't act like Alice. I'll tell you right here and right now, no joke. This is not a dream. You were brought here because-" He stopped quickly and now had a look of confusion, "Hmm. I can't quite remember why you were chosen to come here. I can tell you though, if you die here, you're dead. OK?" He didn't care, nor did he care as to why she was brought here. The Queens would probably have a mammal if he accidentally allowed the girl to die though.
