- Imogene Eve Lourdes & Anca Luana Corris -

Imogene was, once again, in her workshop. She loved it, and barely ever left it. Currently, she was working on a new set of fighter jets, the last lot had been hyjacked so she was creating three more, faster ones to catch up with the rebels. So far, there was barely any luck. Her bright violet eyes closed as she thought about the problem, her eyes always caught attention - they were a bit of an oddity to humans since the pupils were light violet rather than black. She didn't care about the color of her eyes though, it didn't really interest her to be bothered about her appearence. Biting her lip she opened her eyes again and shakily stood up from where she'd been sat on the floor - that was another oddity among her and the three other children, their bodies were much weaker than they should be and it was pretty exhausting to work.

Dropping to the floor in front of the machine she was currently working on, she picked up the screwdriver from the tool bag abandoned next to it. She'd decided to change some of the connections, to get it to go faster. Of course, that would mean standing up for a while, or... The screwdriver began to levitate above her palm. Slowly it moved through the air as Imogene's face turned to a look of concentration, before it began to fix up the connections she'd put in there peviously.

She grumbled as a bit of grease dropped from the machine and she wiped it from her cheek onto her sleeve. She was wearing a dark grey cotton top that was definitely too big for her since the sleeves kept slipping over her hands, a pair of black washed out jeans and some combat boots (purely because they were steel toe capped and she had a habit of walking into things). Her glasses were carefully balenced on her nose, and her hair (a mix of black and purple from an accident with a few checmicals) was tied back with a tangle of what looked like shoelaces. Of course she was wearing a lab coat ontop of all that, she'd 'borrowed' it from Adrian's medical facilities a few days ago and he wasn't having it back anytime soon since the pockets were brilliantly huge and the perfect size for keeping tools and wires and bolts and pretty much any shiney thing she picked up inside them. A pair of goggles hung around her neck - they were supposed to be used to keep stuff from getting in her eyes when she was working under machines but she knew that because of some reaction thing at the back of her eye that her eyes shut as a reflex if something was moving towards them. She couldn't think of what it was called and didn't really care much either way.

"Imogene!"

Imogene looked up as the voice of her supervisor was heard, frantically running about her workshop looking for her. "I am over here..." She spoke softly, pulling herself to her feet and using the side of the machine for support.

The supervisor rushed over to her, leading her off towards the door. He was holding her up as he half-pulled, half-dragged her over to the door. "We need to go now. There are some people trying to kill you and the other three-"

"You mean the rebels? Because honestly, they are pretty useless at killing us, they haven't got anywhere close have they." She shook her head with a grumble, not at all liking that she was being dragged down the hallway now, off towards the dock where the fighter jets landed.

Three new craft seemed to be there today, the missing three that the rebels had stolen from her workshop a few weeks previous. Imogene raised her eyebrows (one looking perfectly normal, the other had a little bit singed off the edge.) and her supervisor just shook his head. "You'll be flying with the rebels."

"Right of course, so this is all a dream of nonsense and you've lost your marbles?"

"I assure you Miss Lourdes, this is no dream, there are a group of Otherworlders coming to kill you and the other children. You need to leave now before they have the cha-" The pair of them were suddenly thrown to the floor as a rocket slammed into the side of the building, leaving a crater sized hole through which could be seen the workshop Imogene had just left.

Imogene yelped and was pulled to her feet by a girl with flame red hair and a sour look on her face. Anca scowled, both because she was getting soaked by the rain and because she was supposed to be helping the group of people she hated most. Anca pushed the first girl towards the waiting group one ship. The rebels had been called into help the children and had only accepted because the world would be obliterated otherwise. The rebels had decided two ships would carry the kids, of which one of the four kids was apparently missing, and that the third ship would be the weaponry ship and would guard the other two.

Anca and the rebels from the third ship were on the dock, while the second and first ships were getting ready to fly off with the kids. Anca had her prize scowl on - a look rarely seen on her face. This was just irritating.

Imogene stumbled into the first ship, catching herself on one of the empty seats, needing to sit down since her legs were beginning to weaken. "What the..."

{Right, the children all opperate from the same building, a huge city
block that has a workshop specialised for each of them. The rebels
have parked up against the side of the building and are taking the
children with them asap because the otherworlders have located the
place and are trying to capture them.}

~Danika : Rebel : Group One~

After Jet landed the ship, Danika opened the hatch and jumped out. Let him guard the ship. I'll go get the kid. She waited for the other jets to open. Anca jumped out and walked over towards the building they landed next to where a man was pulling a girl out towards them. These children were all so... Pathetic was a good word, weak was another. The man had to practically hold her up as they walked. Just as she saw them, an explosion rocked the ground and Danika fell back against the ship, knocking her head. With a few choice words, she adjusted her eyepatch and shook some rain from her hair. She was going to head out to get the kid when Anca threw the kid at the ship.

The girl stumbled in, a bit of rainwater still in her hair. Danika looked down at her and was met with a look of confusion. "Alright, kid, here's how it's going to work. There are weird things from somewhere else trying to kill you. We really don't like you, I'll be honest now. But if we don't help you, we're all gonna die. So you're going to do what we say, without question. I'm Danika, this is my brother Jet. Where's the other kid?" It was rather sad to be honest. The girl in the seat was my age and taller, yet I could probably beat her up with two fingers.

She turned and called over to Anca, "Let's get the show on the road! Where's the other kid? If ther are any more of those rockets, I'd rather not get hit by one, thanks!" She grubled a bit in annoyance and turned to her brother. "Stay here with the ship. Don't leave until we get the other kid. I think it's a boy." She walked over towards Anca, trying to keep things moving. She saw a guy standing around as well.

(Sorry if this is too short. I'm in pain from my ankle and can't think too well.)

"COME ON WE HAVE TO GO NOW!" Sara called out through one of the small portal windows, her usually cheerful smile was replaced with a grim frown. Already the building shook powerfully as it was hit with a rocket. What she was really worried about was wether the platform all of the jetfighters were perched would be able to stand up under the attack, if that gave out the would all be in deep trouble.

Pulling her head back in out of the rain Sara slumped heavily in the pilots seat her hands resting dejectedly on the faintly vibrating controls. For a few seconds her eyes traced the sploches of neon blue, green, and red that showed clearly on her arms, completely unobscured by her dark blue tank-top. Just this morning she had been out, graffiting buildings, listening to too loud music, and just having fun. Once she had gotten back to base things just got weird. They were contacted by the very people they fought against. While she disagreed with all that these children stood for, they were kids and letting them be kidnapped was allowed in her morals. Then again the fact that if they were captured the whole planet would be destroyed had been a deffinet motivating factor for the rest of the group.

"Ryder! Do you see them?" Sara questioned eagerly. She trusted that he would be on the look out for the two that they had been asigned to carry. The whole stressful situation was really wearing starting to wearing on her, and Sara caught herself tugging nervously on her earing. Really she wished that the kids would hurry up, she knew that they had trouble standing a stuff however didn't they have like, an army of scientists to help them walk the distance from where ever they were kept to the jetfighters.

To keep herself buisy she went over all the fighter's controls. She had to keep the engine running in case they had to really punch it out of there. A second rocket shook the building and a couple chunks of rumble bounced noisely off the Azure's wings.

"Hey! This is brand new I don't want any scratches." Sara said, obviously trying to threaten the ceiling into submission. Even in all of this chaos she was able to bring that hint of laughter into her voice. Then again there was the fact that she was still not a hundred precent sure that this was entirely real, that she would not wake up soon and this would all just be a very strange dream. But as a bit more rubble rained down she knew truthfully that this was no dream. Sighing Sara gazed out the rain clouded window wondering what they were going to do with the kids once they got them out of here.

Havoc

Postby skïttles » Wed Jun 13, 2012 1:02 pm

Image
Havoc couldn't say that he was particularly pleased by what they were doing. Of course, if he was going to be bringing a happier life to the citizens, he could manage it. He watched Anca leave the jet, shifting his position to take over her gun. She would probably take it back, but Havoc liked hers better. His dark hair fell over his eyes, masking the sympathetic softness in them. He did feel bad for the children. It was like everything was weighted on their shoulders. It was easy to be a rebel, really. He knew what his goal was, and it wasn't difficult to press himself to complete that goal. He exhaled heavily, making his hair flutter out of his eyes for a brief moment.

He propped himself up on his elbows, looking out the open door. This world was heading to desperate times, if the people put the lives of their saviors in the hands of the rebels. Havoc wondered where the outworlders were, for that matter. Everyone knew of them, but some believed they were only myth. Havoc believed in them. He had had a first hand encounter with one, and there was no way to cleanse his mind of the memory. Havoc shuddered, feeling a chill spread through him. The thing had been trying to pass itself off as a human, but it didn't work. He could clearly tell that it was an otherworlder. It was one of his useful talents, the ability to almost always detect when a situation was about to go south.

He looked back up at Anca, admiring her. She really was a brilliant person, although he would never tell her that, for fear of her misinterpreting his compliment as something more. Havoc had no feelings and no time for feelings about Anca. Sure, she was beautiful, and delicate looking- the kind of delicate that inspired him to want to protect her- but that was besides the point. She was like his sister. Someone that he could count on to stand by his side at his worst moments as well as his best.

At the same time, the girl could be harsh, and intolerant. Such as she was with the children. Of course, she tolerated them, but that was a must. If they didn't tolerate those that would save them, someone would end of dead. Likely, everyone would end of dead. That included Anca and Havoc. No one wanted that to happen. Havoc shifted in his seat, sitting up straighter and letting his hands fall to his lap. He itched to be in movement, shooting something, spraying graffiti, anything but simply sitting here, twisting his fingers with each other, his eyes following his, something of a partner, as she handled the children.

His eyes roamed to the brand on his arm, a hint of a smile twisting his lips. He was still proud to be a rebel, despite everything that was happening and would happen in the future. His father hadn't in a million years predicted his son would be contented with the disfiguring mark.

We're both aboard on an airship as it flies
And it's chasing for a star hiding from our eyes
And before all our feelings will subside
Let's escape past the air, the atmosphere

My eyes they looked into the night sky a bit too much
And then found light it turned into a painful touch
If this world will keep on spinning in the time ahead
You should go and find a reason to live on instead
Saying bye this afternoon is really too soon

Ryder was crouching on top of the fighter, eyes narrowed as he peered through the pouring rain, his clothes soaked completely through and his hair clinging to his face. Every once in a while, he had to wipe away the water threatening to blur his vision, and every time he did, there was still no sign of any person matching the description of a really tall guy, possibly in some white coat, and... whatever the other one looked like. Ryder's mind sort of went to space after the government asked them to save their sorry butts. Well, he would remember it like that, but Ryder was the first to agree with the plan, despite his...relationship with the authorities. He never had a problem with the four geniuses, just their methods. And besides, this would mean the government owed them a favor if they survived planet destruction. It would be a definite ideal situation if the threat of extinction wasn't hanging over their shoulders.

His eyes shot up to look at the sky when another explosion rang in his ears. Ryder grunted and frowned, thinking that, for people who were panicking, everyone was sure taking their time. Whether it was by coincidence, or Sara had a sixth sense, he finally saw people emerging from the people right when she asked him if he saw anything. "Let's see..." he muttered to himself. "Old lady, girl being dragged, boy being dragged... wait..." Ryder stood as he saw someone who matched the statement "really tall".

"Well," he called back to Sara, jumping down from the plane. "No I don't see 'them'! I only see one!" And that 'one' was moving like a drowsy two year old. Snails would move faster than him, and Ryder was being completely serious. As another shot was fired at the building, Ryder ran forward to meet the tall "genius". Even if he was moving at snail pace, it wouldn't be fast enough. His plan, as he reached... Adrian, did those agents say?... was to just throw the guy on his back and run back to Azure, but he made a last minute change. The guy was a good 4 inches taller, after all, so the best Ryder could do was throw Adrian's arm around his shoulder and drag him along.

Once they reached the jet, Ryder practically tossed the guy on a chair inside. "Let's get going." He said urgently, not wanting to be around when the building fell, as he feared it would. "I didn't see the other one." Wiping wet hair back, he touched a light blue screen on the wall and the door clamped shut. He moved to the seat in front of Adrian, nearest to the weapons control. "Strap yourself in, genius. We don't want your body flying all over the place in here."

(Vincent's form will be done soon.)

.:Adam:.

Adam sat at the large desk in side of his workshop, going over notes of research on space travel. It was once possible in the past, it was even possible to land on the moon at that point. Of course it had still existed throughout the ages but had been deemed unimportant and other than a space station that had once orbited the planet, there was little advancement to be heard of in this field. After many sleepless nights of diligent work, Adam had cracked many secrets of the old space travel and was now working on vastly improving them. Space travel was a long process but someday he would create spacecraft that could reach speeds thought to be impossible, what would take decades would be passed in only a few days. But of course there was landing on planets, the first successful landing was on the moon which had no atmosphere, an attribute common to many planets. Adam would have to find a way to successfully land without burning up in the atmospheres of the planets his employers desired to exploit.

A very loud crash, followed by a tremor seizing the building interrupted Adams thoughts as he rushed out of his office. The hallways were crowded with workers panicking, desperate to exit the building as quickly as possible. Adam was suddenly knocked off balance as someone ran into him, looking up he saw that it was his supervisor.

"Sorry about that," his supervisor said while helping him regain balance.

"Never mind that," Adam said curtly,"What the hell's going on?"

Adam was unsure as to why anyone would attack this building. Certainly not the rebels, as bothersome as they were, he considered them on par with just some pranksters trying to liven up the dull lives of the citizens of Eden.

"Otherworlders are attacking. Their after you and the other children," the supervisor gasped out,"Come on, we've gotta get out of here."

Adam ran as fast as his impaired body could cary him, ignoring the strain he was putting on himself. With the assistance of his supervisor he had made it to his colleague, Imogene's workplace. A giant sized hole in the wall had appeared, whose creation was presumably the cause of one of the tremors. Through which he could clearly see one of the fighter jets stolen by the rebels with one of the presumed thieves standing beside it.

"What are the rebels doing here?" asked Adam, completely confused.

"Now I know this sounds crazy but go to them, they are here to help you escape," his supervisor commanded.

Adam did exactly as he was told, not wanting to stick around while the chaos ensued. As he came closer he could see a red-haired girl who looked as if she was not the least bit happy to be there. In the cockpit, he could see Imogene in an empty seat and decided to contact her. Hey, Imogene, he spoke to her through his mind.

~Danika : Rebel : Group One~

Just as she began to approach Anca, she saw a tall, lanky boy stumble out of the building, once again being aided by some random government official or whatnot. With an irritated growl, she stalked over and sighed. "Well I suppose you're the other kid that's flying with us. We'll take him from here, bud. Thanks." She turned to the kid, who was actually younger and as short as she. What do you know? She talked as she pulled him along. "You're the second kid with us. Wonderul. We can take off then since the other kid has been brought in I think... Call me Talon. Get in the jet next to the other kid and make sure that you're both secure. It's not my fault if you get knocked around."

She helped boost him, or rather gave him a chuck, into the cockpit of the jet and watched him sit in the chair. She jumped in as well, hitting a button to close the cockpit all the way. She shook her head, getting the water out of her hair. She turned back to the kids. "Alright, like I said. Call me Talon, call this goof Jet. You are to obey our orders without question. Stay buckled unless we say so. Please don't scream, it's not a joy ride. Any questions?" She narrowed her eyes, though the effect was lost a bit due to the eyepatch over her right eye. She turned back around and looked over at her brother seated beside her. "Alright, Jet, everything in order?" She hit a few buttons to make sure the weapons systems were all ready and functioning.

- Imogene Eve Lourdes -

Imogene raised her eyebrows at the rebel in front of her, ordering her about. "Would you like me to do the mock-enthusiastic response now or later?" Imogene pulled a face, like heck she was going to follow their orders 'without question'. It was just not happening. She didn't give her name in return to the introductions, because she was being sulky. She couldn't believe the government had actually readily agreed to this. "Oh it's lovely to know you don't like me. What a brilliant introduction. Hi I'm Danika I hate you."

She was perhaps a little more than irritated because the rebels were walking around like they owned the place - and these were Imogene's fighter jets, all developed by her, all handmade by her. She'd threatened to kill her whole team of helpers once she'd found out that they had been hyjacked, and she'd sulked for ages. Not even chocolate had bought her out of her sulking huddle in the corner, in the end someone had to fly all the way across to America to get her favourite brand of cheesecake and she'd eaten the whole thing. She was still sulky about it, still in a mood that her jets had been stolen, and that's why she hated the rebels - the fighter jets were her stolen work.

"Where's the other kid?" She repeated in a whine, "What you think we all have magical tracking beacons that let us know when someone is in our close proximity? Beep... beep... beep... beepbeepbeepbeep!" She'd swung her arm around the cockpit, and then when she'd pointed at herself she'd let the highpitched beeping get louder all of a sudden. She gave a final glare and as if she'd done it a thousand times before - which she had - she clipped the seatbelt around her.

Imogene's eye's fell on Adam, and for a few moments his thoughts swum in her head. She'd never really gotten on with telepathy straight away, it had taken a while for her to get used to it. She didn't too well like the feeling of someone pushing thoughts into her head.

But this time she was glad of the intrustion. She frowned slightly as she thought the same thought over and over so he'd get the message - she'd been told before that her mind was a bit of a jumble since it mixed up prorities. 'Adam- they've nicked my fighter jets. What on Earth is going on?' She watched as the girl who'd introduced herself as Danica pushed Adam into the fighter jet and when he landed on the seat next to her Imogene reached across and pulled a hidden catch on the side of the seatbelt that made it so easy to fasten that even someone with as little strength as she and the other children would have ease closing.

She raised her eyebrows once again at Danica, rebeliously agreeing with herself that she wouldn't follow any of this kid's orders unless she deemed them worthwhile. "Two questions and a statement. Question number one: Lovely weather we're having isn't it?" She gave a few moments for her sarcasm to sink in.

"Question number two: What on Earth is going on here?!" Well, she did feel like she had a right to know. "Things from other planets and them trying to kill us... Well that's not really your area of expertise." She folded her arms, knowing Adam should know more about space than the two rowdy rebels infront of her. Imogene also knew that she was better at flying fighter jets, why wasn't she allowed to drive?

"Statement: You stole my fighter jets, I will be glaring at you until you give me cheesecake. Understood?"
