Something just popped into my head, and it annoys me.

I don't understand why wolves get so much hate from people.
It's a popular animal, mk. But...you only really see stamps saying " I want to kill a wolf. "/" I support wolf hunting"/ "Wolves are stupid. " You don't see " I want to kill a bear " " I support coyote hunting" "Mountain lions are stupid"

But why? I thought of the whole ' Well wolves eat my livestock '. Wolves aren't the only predators out there, you know. Bears, mountains lions, various different canines that, if paired, could take down livestock, and all that jazz. Not to mention the people who claim wolves go after small animals like cats, small dogs and chicken. And a coyote wouldn't?Why is it that wolves seem to get all of the hate? Just because they're popular and you have to be a special snowflake and hate them?

I honestly don't understand.
People get called 'wolfaboos' because they like wolves. I like foxes a lot. Why am I not called a 'foxaboo'?

I sort of feel bad for them now, actually. It seems like wolves seem to get a lot of unneeded hate.

I was unaware they were still that disliked- I know wolves were hated in the past.
What with all the "Oh, they attack our livestock." thing that went on.. but even now?

Ever since I was a kid, I've grown to love wolves.
Watching them on animal documentaries on TV was an enjoyable part of my younger years. :3

And even as a young adult..
I admit, my heart melts at well-made plush toys of wolves. X'3

The 'wolfaboo' thing seems to be (from what I've seen) directed at the really stupid 'fans'. The people who think wolves are the single most perfect creature on Earth and can do no wrong; and who have absolutely no understanding of how wolves actually live and behave and show absolutely no desire to learn.

i must admit, wolves are the most beautiful animals i have seen with my own eyes out in the forest. I remember when i was younger, i used to want to see a wolf for real life not in a zoo, and i did <3 it was a really pretty grey and had piercing eyes. I strongly dislike it when people hate on wolves because they are 'popular' with people or something like that.
