Hanna grinned at Callum, keeping Rapid steady with a gentle pull of the reins. When she had returned home, Hanna had watched a lot of the matches at the Pokemon League on television to kill some time and pick up a few strategies. It had been a useful enough experience, she supposed.

"I'm Hanna Quill, from Kanto, too." she smiled as she introduced herself, taking Rapid's reins in one hand and holding the free one out for Callum to shake. At the annoyed yelp from Swift, she laughed. "Right - Swift, Rapid, Spook." Hanna added, pointing in turn to Jolteon, Rapidash and Haunter. The Pokemon gave a satisfied nod and grinned at Callum.

Rapid seemed slightly impatient to be getting along with the race, but Hanna kept her still, before allowing the Rapidash to break into a very slow walk along with Swift and Spook. "You headed for the Pokemon Center?" she asked, tightening her grip on the reins again to ensure that Rapid wouldn't break away into a gallop.

Fran craned her head around and beamed as the Braviary swooped down, cawing and crying at her. She threw her hands up in the air, laughing as Valor raised up high, out of her reach. She smirked and placed her hands on her hips as the bird swooped about in the air, making Fran jealous of him.
"Ha!" She scoffed and looked away, holding her head high and puffing her chest out,"You're just a feather brain!"
Valor blinked in absolute shock at the insult before he shrieked and dove down at her, aiming his beak at her. Fran grinned slyly before she dived to the side, causing her Braviary to topple into the ground. Fran started to laugh, so hard that it hurt. Valor growled before he looked away arrogantly. Fran sighed before she stood and strode over, a piece of pokemon food in her hand. She extended it to the Flying-Type, amiling apologetically.
"Oh come on Valor, I was just messing around." Fran explained, trying not to giggle as the bird huffed and turned away from her, making her have to move around to see his face again.
"Come on, I know this is your favorite~" Fran teased, holding it out in front of him.
Valor, with closed eyes, turned his head again before his stomach growled hungrily. He broke, jumping forward to snatch the snack out of her palm as thogh he were starving. Fran giggled at the touch of his smooth beak before he finished it completely and she reached up, stroked the soft, down feathers on top of his head. He cooed and pressed into her hand.
"Braviary~ Brave~" He purred, making her laugh.

Fran heard a greeting and her head came up. She looked around, trying to find the origin of the voice. All of sudden Fran saw a girl running towards her and she blinked, falling backwards in shock. Valor cases and flapped his large wings, taking to the sky and landing in the coverage of a tree nearby.
Fran laughed as Emboar came over, snorting as the blue flames around her neck grew slightly in challenge to Maria. Emboar bent over, sniffing Fran before the girl jumped to her feet, making the Emboar laugh throatily.

"Well then! Hiya!" Fran beamed, saluting Maria in greeting before she laughed and extended her hand,"M'Name's Fran! Fran DeCreppio from Unova Region!"

Godzilla and Apollo quickly ran past Maria as she headed towards the other girl. The girl was playing with a big red bird pokemon, teasing him and such in only the way a trainer can do for their pokemon. She was their mother, and they were her children.

Maria jogged over to the girl and shook her hand, beaming, "I'm Maria Vino, from Johto!" She introduced. Godzilla and Apollo both stood on either sides of her, the Larvitar glaring at the big blue Fire type while the other scanned the 'competition.' Their trainer noticed this and chuckled, "Okay, they really want to battle you. How about a friendly battle?"

Fran saw the different looking Pokemon that edged around the girl, and she blinked at them curiously. She straightened up and smiled at Maria as she introduced herself. Emboar noticed that she was being watched and she crouched down, snorting of a cloud of smog in the little Larvitar's face.
Fran saw this and she blinked before she started to freak out and she began to push Emboar away.
"E-Emboar! Stop it! You'll suffocate it!!" Fran exclaimed frantically, shoving the Fire-Type aside.
Emboar grunted in confusion as to why Fran was flipping out. Yet she continued to glare at the tiny Larvitar in challenge.
Fran sighed heavily and smiled apologetically up at Maria, not noticing the fact that Micky and Valor had also noticed the new group.
Micky ran over, a flash of grey. The small Pokemon frantically crawled up Fran's leg and made his way up to sit on top of Fran's head optimistically.
Valor swooped down and landed on Fran's shoulder, glaring at the Pinsir, threatening to harm him if they made any attacks.
Fran blinked when requested to battle before a confident smirk appeared, and flames lot in her green gaze.
"A battle sounds awesome! Whaddya say you guys?!" She laughed as her whole team cheered in agreement.

Maria blinked as the Fire type blew a cloud of smoke in Godzilla's face. The cat-sized pokemon just smirked and twirled her horn, creating a tiny sandstorm in her opponent's face. The smog was blown away in a tiny tornado of sand. Maria's other pokemon watched Fran's from behind their trainer. Apollo clicked his horns together, eyeing the bird pokemon just like he eyes his food. Even Vulcan was paying attention, watching the cute little pokemon on Fran's head.

"Save it for the battle Godzilla!" Maria teased and started backing up to make room for the battle. All her pokemon besides the Larvitar followed her. Godzilla stayed in her spot, smirking at the fire type. She hadn't battled in a week, and she was ready for evolution. She needed this.

Fran began to laugh as Emboar snorted from the sand blown at her face. She stood tall and puffed her chest of, growling at the tiny Pokemon angrily. Her trainer backed up, and Emboar turned o follow Fran, her flames pulsating with fury. Fran looked over at the Larvitar as she reached a good distance from them.
"Alright! How does a full on battle sound?" Fran shouted over to her, pulling her messenger boys cap down, showing that she was serious.
Valor cawed before he started to pump his wings and he leapt off Fran's shoulder and flew in front of her, glaring at the Larvitar.
"I think Valor would care to be first!" Fran laughed as Emboar snorted and folded her bulky arms and watched the two Pokemon carefully.
Carracosta cried in worry as she made her way over to stand behind Fran, crooning as she watched them. Micky bounced on Fran's head, clapping his paws together in clear excitement. Krookodile came over as well, standing beside Emboar and sighing in boredom, but smirking as Valor cried in pride. Stout land awoke from his nap, snorting gruffly before his calm brown gaze swept across the clearing to watch the battle from his napping spot.

Larvitar grinned as her 'enemies' backed away. She put her hands on her hips and took in a deep breath. Her first opponent stepped forward; a flying type. This would be easy. Larvitars are dual Rock/Ground types.

"Sure! But don't think we'll be easy!" Maria shouted back to Fran. Artemis flew to her trainer, hanging upside-down from her elbow. Vulcan kept his spot behind her, leaning around her legs to see. Flora sat at her feet, and Apollo stood off to the side with his arms folded, watching the Larvitar.

Callum smiled back, glancing at her pokemon once, they looked strong. He now felt that he should have his own out as she had three out but, oh well, they were away and would come out a later, when he found the pokemon centre. As he heard her question, he nodded quickly.

"Yep, that's where I'm going," he said cheerfully, thinking it would be much faster for her. He couldn't ride any of his pokemon except his Lapras, his growlithe he would ride when it evolved but he didn't want it to evolve yet, not till it was a stronger. He blocked the fact from his mind that he could no longer afford a fire stone.
