"Okay," Swallowpelt said. She trotted in the direction of the stream.

Dustleap purred, following her. His eyes flickered happily.

Swallowpelt's ears flicked in the direction of a rustle. She dropped into a crouch and leaped after the squirrel. As it tried to run, she pinned it down and cut off it's short cry with a quick bite to the neck. "Got one!" she called to Dustleap.

Dustleap padded towards her, purring. "Nice one~" He smiled.

"Thanks," she murmured, standing. "There's a mouse over there, if you want to get it," she said, nodding toward a bush.

Dustleap shook his head, senses drifting to a more valuable scent. He stalked off, scenting pheasant. Leaping out of the brush, the Tom landed on the large bird. He killed the prey with a swift bite to the neck.

Swallowpelt grinned. "That was great! I didn't even notice the pheasant. I'll get the mouse then." She slipped into the underbrush and caught the mouse, returning with it dangling from her jaws. "Do you want to go bury what we've caught so far?" she asked around the prey.

Dustleap shook his head. "We probably have enough to take back to camp~" He scoffed through the feathers of the bird three quarters his size.
