Shadepelt snorted as he ran on, right behind Sunflash as her tail streamed in front. He smirked and pushed harder, running up to bound beside her, saying loudly in a sarcastic tone, "I didn't think I was that fast!" He narrowed his eyes playfully and leaped to the side, smashing into the ginger-and-white she-cat. He tumbled around with her in the lush, green grass, stopping their racing momentarily. He didn't know why he was acting like such a kit... but he couldn't help it. Something about the firey excitement in Sunflash's eyes and his own heart beating so quickly made him feel like nothing could crush him. Nothing.
He stopped rolling, ending up on top of Sunflash. He laughed and smiled softly at her, before leaning in close and whispered, "Yea, I think I am too fast for you."

Breathless, Sunflash looked up at Shadepelt and smiled. "We'll see about that," she purred, ears pricked foward playfully. "Will you let me up, please?" She asked. She didn't try to get up, just stayed limp. Mesmerized by his green eyes, she felt like she was frozen underneath the black tom.

Shadepelt twitched his whiskers at her and blinked his bright eyes. He rolled off, sitting up. He shook out his black pelt and laughed in amusement. He licked one paw and traced it over one ear, smirking at the she-cat.

Sunflash flipped over and shook the leaves from her dual-hued fur. "That was fun," she said, sitting down next to Shadepelt. "Two adventures down, a million to go!" She smiled and closed her eyes.

Shadepelt chuckled, turning to look at Sunflash as she sat beside him. He smiled gently, happy she was with him. "Where do you want to go, now?"

Sunflash shrugged, leaning against Shadepelt tiredly. "We could go try to catch some fish?" She asked, opening her eyes and looking into his green ones. "Or are you afraid of getting wet?" She asked, a mischevious grin stretching across her face.

Shadepelt laughed and meowed in a funny voice, "HA. Me? Afraid of water? You amuse me, Sunflash." He purred and crouched down mischievously. "Or is it you that's afraid to get your paws wet? Hm?"

Sunflash smirked. "What? I'm the best swimmer in the clan!" She boasted, turning to face Shadepelt, crouching as low as he was. "The question is, can you swim?" She asked, swishing her tail back and forth.

"ME? Of course!" He stood straight and narrowed his electric eyes. "Let's see who's the best..!" He laughed and all of a sudden, he leaped forward, tumbling onto Sunflash and pushing her into the river with him. He splashed around until his head found the surface and he shook it vigorously to get the water out of his eyes. He laughed again after spewing the water from his mouth in a stream shooting out.

Sunflash was taken by surprise, but quickly found her way to the surface. Shaking the water out of her ears, she turned her gaze to Shadepelt and laughed. "You look ridiculous!" She told the sopping wet tom. "Maybe this will help," she said slyly before splashing him with her paws.
