Her body curled up around the forest of seaweed she was lounging in. The salty, wonderful water swirled around her. Ingo. She exhaled the name, letting Ingo slide into her, speaking Mer and only Mer. Her silver eyes stared upwards, watching the sky from her safe haven. The water made her hair drift out and away from her, making her look eerie and deadly. Sunlight rippled over her body, and her tail shimmered as the sun glinted off of it. McKay smiled lazily, her eyes fluttering closed, and a small sigh escaped her. At the moment, all worries
concerning the defenders and the chaos that filled Ingo was nonexistent. But is was there, nevertheless, always hovering like buzzards circling 'round your head, waiting for you to drop dead. And then all of a sudden, it came too jarringly close once more.
McKay's sensitive ears had picked up signs of disturbance in Ingo. The young rebel was tuned into Ingo well that way, strange as it was. She lazily flicked her tail so she scooted forwards a bit, now fully awake and in a swimming position. Her hand gripped the jagged shell she always carried with her, just in case. And though she hated it, spilling blood in Ingo, she wouldn't back down from what she believed in. Which was that not all humans were bad. With this in mind, and how the defenders had killed her family, McKay let a snarl escape her, eyes narrowed and glinting dangerously. She was even more wild than most Mer, dangerous and feral and unpredictable. Pure Mer. Pure rebel.
Another flick of her tail sent her shooting forwards. Her lithe, graceful body shot through the water, twisting and turning. She made her way swiftly through the badlands, as they were open waters and easy to navigate. Her eyes scoured the area before her as she drifted closer and closer to Defender territory. It was hard to miss the only other Mer in the area. Eyes cold and face emotionless, McKay slid easily over hem, coming to rest beside the male, Miles. A loyal rebel.
She smiled cruelly at the girl before her, silver eyes meeting her gaze. She said nothing, merely held her gaze, raising an unspoken challenge as she floated beside Miles. Unlike some, McKay would have absolutely no problem slittig the girl's neck and leaving her here. She managed to contain herself though. For the moment, atleast.
