Nicole:
"A wife, maybe a mom someday." i close my eyes hoping that will help. I sigh and lay back in the grass/dirt.

[ Jake ]

I nod slowly. "I can see that. You'd be a good mom. Patient. Kind. Perfect." I open my eyes, confused with myself. Perfect? Where'd that come from? I lean forwards, and start to rinse Myself off in the river. I don't take anything off, but I do rub the dirt and grime from my skin that you can see.

Nicole:
"Well, I'm perfect anyways." I laugh and open my eyes. What the h*ck! My vision is still blurry, I look down at my leg and see the outline of the leaves I put on my leg. Sh!t. I say

[city;]

[ Jake ]

I smile and look back at her. I notice that she doesn't seem to be able to see the Full Me. "Hey, you ok? Can you see alright?"

WB, sorry!

Nicole:
"You just noticed?" I ask. I start pulling the leaves off my leg. I didn't take much time in the training about this cr@p." I say "It's the leaves" I say washing my leg off, scrubing and scraping at it furiously.

[city;]

[ Jake ]

"Hey, stop," I command. "Let me help you." I know I'm not supposed to get attached to girls in this, but I lost that game long ago with her. I inch closer to her, and take her leg. I ease it into the water, grab one of the leaves she had, and feel it. Its fairly waxy, and will serve as a scrub pretty well. I start rubbing her wound in small, gentile circles, figuring the natural antioxidants in the plant will probably make it heal faster. I ease her leg back out of the water, and show her. "See? Much cleaner. You can't see. Let me look at your eyes." This time, I'll let her come towards me, so she's comfortable.

This is a bad idea. I ignore myself and slide across the ground till I'm next to him.

[ Jake ]

I watch her move. When she gets close enough, I raise my hands, and look in her eyes. "There's something in there. It looks hazy..." I lean back, and put my hands behind me, propping me up. "We're going to have to wash it out." I think for a minute. "Hey, do you have a container we can boil water in? I'm not pouring bacteria-parasite-filled water into your eyes. We'll have to boil it, and let it cool so you can see when you leave."

Nicole:
I look sheepish. "I got a parachute. Here's clean water" I hand him a full canteen.

[ Jake ]

"Ah, clean water. We'll just use that." I take the water, and stand up. I take the canteen, unscrew the lid and put my hand on the back of Nicole's head. "Lean back. I need to pour some in."
