"I will be going tomorrow at Moonhigh." Lionfoot finished. "I will appoint a patrol to escort him to the fourtrees." Greystar added. "Just in case."

Berrynose turned her head away and snapped, "Don't expect us to be going with him Greystar, we don't walk the same ground as traitors." Salmonpaw just hissed at him but Jellypaw stared at the ground sadly. Stormstone sighed and muttered, "Another senior warrior, gone..." Stormstone padded over to Greystar and mewed, "I have an announcement. I am afraid I have to retire from the position of deputy. I am now over 50 moons and my signs of age are beginning to show." Flareleap looked at her former mentor and noticed, he had flecks of white on his muzzle, head and back and he was always slower on patrols. The now basically deaf and blind Roughscar sighed and muttered, "Welcome Stormstone."

Greystar looked at Stormstone, then he dipped his head respectfully. "As you wish, Stormstone, The Clan wishes you many moons of rest." He meowed, now he had to think of a new deputy, he flickered his tail, ending the meeting, he would choose deputy before Lionfoot left.

Stormstone dipped his head respectfully and as he went past Greystar he mewed in his ear, "You won..." he remembered, when they were kits, they had decided to have a contest of who could keep going fighting for the longest. Stormstone lay in Shadeflame's old nest and became engulfed in her warm, hearty scent.

Greystar flickered his tail as he watched Stormstone go to the elders den, then he frowned and sighed before going to the leaders den. Lionfoot went to one of the corners of camp and lied down, putting his head on his paws.

Jellypaw padded cautiously over to Lionfoot and began to give a little speech she had been rehearsing ever since Lionfoot had said he was leaving. She said, "When I was born, I thought I had the most loyal cat in the clan as my father. It appears not. Sorry but next time anyone asks me if we are related, the answer will be. I don't know him, he is a traitor." she shrugged and padded of.

Lionfoot didn't even listen to Jellypaw, when she had walked away he put his paws over his muzzle. Shadekit saw Lionfoot by the corner of camp and padded over to the warrior.

Emberheart stood infront of Shadekit and mewed, "Shadekit, come back to the nest, I think Lionfoot just needs some time to think." he looked sympathetically at the warrior and picked the tiny kit up by the scruff and carried her back to Sandyfern.

Shadekit sighed, but didn't complain. Sandyfern looked up as Emberheart carried Shadekit back. "Where was she?" She asked, flickering her tail.

"Just going to talk to Lionfoot but he needs some time alone, the poor guy. I mean he chooses to go back to his birth clan and everybody treats him as a traitor..." mewed Emberheart sadly, dropping his daughter on Sandyfern's feet. He noticed Brazenkit coughing slightly and mewed, "You alright there son?" his nodded and coughed again.
