Evelyn looked at him, her smile faded. "Why are you so serious?" Evelyn was a bit spooked. "Soo.. so then I'm married.. to a beast?" She couldn't really find herself to believe him.

"I'll do my best..." Ash murmured, giving him a shy smile. She wanted to tell herself that no matter what happened, she wouldn't be afraid of him, but she knew that it was probably best not to lie to herself, especially about this. No matter how much she prepared herself, she was pretty sure that she would at least be somewhat afraid of what she saw, though she did hope he would stick around to calm her down afterwards if she was terrified.

"Can you step out of the room for a second?" He asked politely, and hoping this wouldn't be a HUGE deal. He just couldn't go into his true form with someone else with him, it just felt unnatural. Especially with a human, and he was told to fear humans as a child, but he never did, he didn't see how harmful they could be.

Eli turned back to face her. He stood in front of the door and lowered. Grey and black fur sprouted and two huge tusks grew. He pounded his tail on the floor to draw attention. "Bunyip, dear." He grumbled in a deep voice. He changed back human and brushed his hair back. "You're about to be married to the mistake of when people try cross breeding Walruses and Platypuses."

In a rush of horrible childhood nightmares, Bella screamed, trying to yank away, finally falling back on the bed. She shivered from fear. "I'm sorry." She murmured. "Just don't hurt me. It's hard to take this all in." She didn't even want to know what he meant about her family. She knew well what a manticore was. She read about them. Nothing scared her more, except maybe The Grim. Poison that could kill you in a half second, speed like light. She literately still had nightmares. And now she was going to marry one?

Isabelle screamed as she saw the man turn into that thing. "What did you just do?" She was now in shock, backing into the wall, and when she reached in she slid down on her butt and touched the ground. "Just get me out of here. I still don't know what's happening right now."

Ash sighed softly and shook her head, almost like she was disappointed in him. She slid silently out of the room, letting the door click closed behind her. She moved to lean against the wall across from the door, waiting for him to call her back in, though she wasn't even sure if he would be able to do that. She began to wonder what his other form would look like, seeing as she had never given the idea of monsters much thought.
