What Is a Piccolo Dragon?

A Piccolo Dragon, otherwise known as a PD, is a small and cuddly creature that loves attention and is a fun-loving animal. They hatch from small, spherical egg, about the size of a golf ball. Piccolo Dragons eat fish, any edible berry, apples, bananas, grapes, mangos, lettuce, carrots, leaves, and grass. They have natural and soft colors, though there are rare times when it has brighter patterns. They can grow to about the size of a large cat, but some don’t grow bigger than a weasel or ferret. Their fur is short, but sleek and soft, until you get to their tail tuft, which is long and fluffy. The adoption limit is four dragons, no more.

Name: Adryen

Short Story: (The following is an exchange between another Piccolo dragon I own, and Adryen) Adryen hobbled down the hall of Joker’s apartment slowly, favoring his left-front paw. Dekoda, another of Joker’s Piccolo dragons, walked up to him, green eyes filled to the brim with concern.

“What’s wrong, Adryen?” He asked worriedly.

“Nothing,” Adryen said hurried, standing up straight and trying to hide the wince, “Just walking back to bed. I’m a little tired.”

Dekoda’s eyes narrowed as he studied his green counterpart, “Don’t lie,” He deadpanned, “You fell down the stairs didn’t you?”

Adryen sighed. He was currently been fostered by Joker, Dekoda’s owner, and he was having a terribly difficult time getting adjusted. Going from feral to tame was no easy thing for Adryen. The stairs, however, had been the hardest to adjust to. Joker’s apartment was a loft, and the stairs were acting as an obstacle that Adryen just couldn’t fight against.

Slowly, Adryen nodded to Dekoda, who’s eyes went from hard to soft in a millisecond, “You don’t have to suffer alone. I understand that it is very hard to get used to life as a ‘pet’. Remember, though, Jack, Pietro, and I are here for you! No matter what.”

Slowly, Adryen nodded, staring at Dekoda with a lost expression. Slowly, Dekoda walked forward to Adryen and slid under him. Being only a little larger than Pietro, Adryen was very small compared to Dekoda. Holding him carefully, Dekoda walked into Joker’s room where the beds where and set Adryen down. Curling up against him, Dekoda nuzzled his friend, “Sleep well.”

Short Story:

The wind was slow and gentle, as it blew a few strands of grass against Kiwi's paw. It tickled slightly, but Kiwi shook her head, ignoring it. She looked over the rocky edge of the cliff, and down to the sea-green ocean. Kiwi look up towards the setting sun, watching the clouds turn from white puffs into shades of pinks, oranges, and reds, filling the sky with beauty. Kiwi smiled and her bright purple eyes shimmered, as she watched the sun disappear behind the dull ocean. The sky turned from a nice rosemary red, to a dull grey. Only about three stars were in view.

Kiwi's legs shifted and she stood up. Even though Kiwi wasn't that big, she felt like she was a tall, compared to most things, like mice and guinea pigs. Kiwi stepped back, making a squishing sound as her paw pressed onto the fresh mud. Kiwi pulled her ears back. She hated being dirty, and the mud had been pressed onto her paw.

Short Story:
A small breeze lightly shook the leaves on the silhouetted trees. The sky to the west was fading, the sun's rays giving the sky a beautiful appearance. Stars began to shine, and the full moon began to rise towards the east, where the sky had become a shade of midnight blue. Pacific watched all of this, remaining silent and still. She desired to feel the morning dew soak into her fur, and watch the night melt away as the sun took it's place. An owl hooted from the branches of a nearby tree, welcoming the night in all it's glory. Pacific sighed softly, pulling her gaze from the sky to view the other activities going on around her.

All sorts of birds flew to their nests, while many rodents scuttled underground beneath her. Nocturnal animals began to wake, getting ready to hunt before the sun could catch them. Too many lives to be accounted for. The grass was ruffled by the wind of the light breeze passing through the area. It would stop, bringing a breathless silence with it. All until it would blow again. Someday she'd be free, just like the wind.

Pacific got to her paws, and bounded down the hill, getting closer and closer to the edge of the cliffside. Rocks gleamed in the moonlight, beside the edge. The Piccolo Dragon scrabbled up onto the largest one, for a better view of the scenery. Pacific laid now on the edge, gazing up at the endless sky again.

This was pretty hard to judge as all the stories were awesome- even if writing skill levels varied- so I fell back onto my second judging category of name.
