Adding, and I fully agree. Thankfully ALTA members are working their hardest to save the Amur Leopards, however the population doesn't seem to be growing much...

For the times i'm not here to supervise the thread (which is, let's face it, always), i'm going to choose some mods to keep the thread under control, accept people, and add changes to the thread. Do Amur Leopards live in the mountains, or in hot areas: Mountains. I know they don't live in hot areas because they live in northern Russia, though i don't know how many mountains are up there.
Is this an Amur Leopard? Would it be weird if I said yes? I think it is....I typed in Amur Leopard on Google a long time ago (when the thread first started), and I'm fairly sure I saw this picture....But it probably isn't. xD
How about this? Uh....I don't think so. The spots look too small, but that might just be me. It looks more like a jaguar than an Amur Leopard. (I love jaguars, one of my first characters was a jaguar. xD)
And this? No, I'm pretty sure this is a panther.

Someone comes in and says all Amur Leopards should die. What is your reaction, and how do you stop them: Well, if they did it on the thread, I'd prove to them just how wrong they were. Amur leopards don't deserve to die. I'd inform them of the species, explaining that they do nothing wrong. How many Amur Leopard attacks have you heard about? I mean seriously. I'd explain to them why it is important to keep the species alive and why we love them. They are such beautiful creatures, it wouldn't be fair to let them disappear. I'd use easy comparisons like how that person would feel if their dog species was being poached and they were all to go extinct. Or whatever pets they may have. It's an easy comparison to show just how much we love these beautiful cats and why.

I love wolves and want to save them, but i support all endangered animals.For the future of gray wolves it looks hopeful but for snow leopards, Amur leopards ,rinos and most of the big cats and all of the endangered animals i'm sad to say when our grand children are alive most of them will only ecsist in zoos.And the world won't have any room to reles them thanks to HUMANS!!!!!! :x

No, it's fine, and I agree. I'm against the sport hunting of wolves too, but I just think that people should pay attention to other species of animals. The future of the Amur Leopard looks pretty bleak, I remember that one recently got poached and killed for its fur. However, since their fur isn't worth a lot in the black market (can go up to only $500, not a lot compared to pelts of other species), and extremely harsh laws regarding them, they may make a recovery. Let's just hope that a poacher wouldn't come in and shoot 20 of them, like poachers did with Mexican wolves. I also never understood why zoos aren't releasing more Amurs into the wild, I can understand the stuff like "they won't survive since they lived in captivity for such a long time", but zoos have released animals who lived their entire lives in the zoo and those animals were fine.
