Josh took another step, now standing in front of her. "It was an arranged marrage, Evelyn." He spoke softly and soothingly, trying to calm her down. "Please...everything's going to be ok...I promise you, you're safe here with me..I swear on my life, just please calm down..." He asked, pleading with her. He didn't like that she was upset. He knew the he had to expect it, but he just wan't to make her happy. He still had no idea how to tell her that he was a griffon. 'I should probably wait to tell her that after she's calm down a bit..' He thought.

"Uh?" Isabelle's breath quickened as she heard the guy's voice. She was still half asleep, not used to the light in her eyes.
"Who are you?" She was too tired to get angry, still squinting, seeing what he looked like. She knew she was a heavy sleeper, and her mother always said it wasn't a good trait to brag about. "Where am I?" She said with a little less grogginess, finally beginning to wake up.

Ash slowly blinked her pale eyes open, her gaze almost instantly falling on Luke. She arched an eyebrow at him, shifting so that she was sitting on her knees on the bed. "Who are you and where am I?" she asked, her musical voice soft as she spoke, nervous almost. She was clearly looking him over as she watched him, wanting to know who he was and why he was in an unknown room with her. She ran her fingers through her hair again, a nervous habit she had, though she really wasn't used to her hair being wavy like this, which threw her off and only made the oddity of the situation even more apparent.

He sighed yet again. Always the same questions. Who are you, where am I, so on and so forth.
He just loathed what he was about to say.
His accent was thick, as it always was when he was nervous. His smile was gone, and the light faded from his eyes.
"Isabelle, my name is Elijah Bennett. This is our home. I'm your fiancee."
He braced himself for a pillow smack down or screaming, or perhaps both. "We've been put into an arranged marriage by the elders. Things will be fine. I promise. You're safe and sound."

Evelyn covered her mouth in shock. She burst into tears at the thought of the father she'd known and loved had had her married off to someone she hadn't known. She quickly wiped the tears away from her cheek with the back of her hand, not wanting to let her new husband see she was weak. "So I was sold?" Evelyn looked up at him with watery eyes, her voice was now no more than a whisper.

Luke suddenly began to panic, he could hear his heartbeat quicken. He took a deep breath, "I'm Luke, someone who you will be spending a lot of time with." He didn't feel like telling her they were to be married just yet. "And we are somewhere safe, very safe." He walked closer to her, taking a better look at her. 'this may not be so bad,' he thought, trying to comfort himself.

Josh sighed and looked down slightly. He had no idea what to say to her. He took a breath and looked back up at her. He saw the tears in her eyes. She reached out to her, slowly taking her hand into his. "Please don't cry Evelyn.." He avioded her question, not knowing how to respond. "Everything's ok...Please don't cry..."

"And I'm supposed to just accept that I have suddenly been thrown into some room with a guy I don't even know?" Ash asked, her voice calm, though she wasn't exactly happy at that point. She narrowed her eyes at him some as she pushed herself off of the bed, rising soundlessly to her feet. "Well... I suppose if I'll be spending a lot of time with you, we should talk, but am I at least allowed to put some less revealing clothes on?" she asked, her musical voice cold as she looked at him, her gaze calculating. She knew that every last one of her curves was on display in the clingy lace dress, as well as the fact that the dress was short and slightly low cut, making it more revealing than she felt comfortable in with someone she just met.

Evelyn wiped her last tear and slightly nodded. "I'm sorry.." She mumbled, then felt his hand in hers. She glanced down at it. His hand felt warm and securing against hers. He was a stranger to her, though somehow Evelyn knew what he said about keeping her safe was true. She felt safe with him. Evelyn looked up at him.

"Wait? Fiancee?"She finally could see him clearly, still squinting though. "I haven't even known you for a day and now you're claiming you're my fiancee?" She put on a nervous look, 'what have I gotten myself into?'

Yeah, just down the hall," he nodded towards the left. He finally got himself to smile. "Then we can talk." His smile disappeared, knowing the conversation they would have to have, and he knew he wouldn't like it, nor would she.
