Does anybody have any tips on how to draw wolves from a front view? And cats from a side view? I can't seem to get either right >.<

EDIT: I now have a new pictures! I stared at my dog for an hour for this one >.< Critique? This is my first try at semi-realistic, like first try EVER

Here's an actual photo of Peewee: Image

Thanks! (:

Ok, the face seems o.k, but out of poportion for the body. Also, the eyes seem a bit big. The back leg should go out a bit more.
Here is the dog anatomy

Thanks :) And in which way do you mean out of proportion? Do you mean like the height and roundness? Because Peewee is short, long and fat XD I still have yet to master the right eye size XD

Thanks for posting this. (:
I'm going to add something real quick. ouo

If you still want to quote the post, like I usually try to, you could just erase where it has the image code and instead put something like -image- or (image) ... or just erase it and leave it blank. x3

x3 Just had to add that.
Draca, if you disagree with it or something, I'm super sorry D:

@ Wolferyna~ I'm practically speechless.. That's a fantastic griffin! I love it; everything about it is amazing! The beak and wings amaze me most (: it's seems so realistic :o

I drew a cat :3 I've got a huge dilemma though; I don't know how to draw the other paw... I envision the cat was it was slightly startled, not much though.
cat posing :3
Comments, critique, redlines (especially these!), etc are all welcome! <3
I've got a few questions about it: Is the head too wide? Is the back paw too short? Is the tail too skinny? I have a feeling it is; like there isn't enough "fluff". Could I get help on how to place the other paw? >_< Everywhere I tried, it look odd. OTL thanks for any help!
Oh so many questions, sorry! Also, I'm not that familiar with a cat's anatomy. :s

I never pass on the oportunity to blueline^^'. I lined it as a kitten, the cute pose and the large head suggested that you where going for a young cat to me. It's not all that different from an adult anyway, just imagene a smaller head and smaller paws^^'.
The head is indeed slightly too wide, and over all a little bit too large (even more so if it's an adult cat). The tail could be a little fluffier, but it's not wrong the way it is, many breeds have very slim tails. I avoid drawing sitting animals with the tail held high, I think it looks slightly uncomfortable though. I drew a suggestion for the pose of the two missing legs, I think the pose was a great start but it needed a little support. The held up paw needs some more space between the paw and the wrist, the cats "hand" (the part between the wrist and the fingers) is in that part of the leg and it needs some room.
The amount of fluff is a matter of taste, and again, breed. Several breeds are not fluffy at all, some are real puffballs. I think it's neat with sleek cats, so there is no need to fluff it up if you don't want to.

It's really cute, it looks adorable <33 But the eyes seem a little big, and the body looks slightly tilting. Also, from the photo, it seems as the dog has a slightly more square muzzle than what I saw, but I could be wrong ^^;

that looks really cool! I only see a few things. The front legs look a little thin and the chest seems a little too thick, bu everyone has their different views on how they picture griffons ^^

Could I get a redline/crits for this?

I'm not an expert on wolves, but I see a couple mistakes. First off, you're style is really cute and I love its expression, lol. Anyway, the torso is too short and the left back leg is way too far back. Unless it is in motion (in which the paw would be raised) the calf should stay underneath the hip, if that makes sense. You might be doing this for a style, but the tail is unnaturally long. The right(far) ear is right above the eye on the other side; it should be right behind the left ear since the face is at a total profile view. Also, I think it would be a good idea to draw a line for the ground so the paws are all even. If you're confused, I'll explain anything more thoroughly as it might be confusing.

I think I fixed my mermaid drawing up pretty well; I was trying to make her chest look less like an unproportional head. If you have crit on the new one please share. c:

I do see what other people have said. You've got really good basics down, but the eyes are slightly too big and oval shaped. The dog in the picture has more rounded eyes that are smaller than his nose. (from that angle at least) Also, check out some pictures of dogs to see how their hind legs look. ^^ Otherwise, its a very cute drawing. You've got a nice little style there too.

I'm asuming that photo manipulations can be considered art as well?
You'll see the manip is credited to Armitzu. I am Armitzu(or Mizi, Armitzu is my stable name) on Equidaem, where this picture was origionally posted. However, I want more people to see it rather than the few that they have there.

Even if manips aren't your forte, I'd love to hear how the mane and tail look(I redrew them), how the lighting works, and just if anything looks off. :3

I drew a tiger. A commission for Stripey. It was very fun and I'm super happy with how it came out. ;A; <3 I'd love comments/crit, but as usual no redlines because I will not be changing anything anatomy-wise on it.

@FieryFily &ChiCha - That is such a cute pose. <3 I think Spotty pretty much got everything that was off about it, so I wont waste everyone's time by repeating. xD

@WBS - The body looks a little small for the head and legs to me. I love the way you drew the eyes. asusgfigrduig
