Finding a quiet spot to sit down Kristal did just that, watching as the usual crowd of beach boys and girls started pulling up in fancy cars with music so loud it beat with your heart. Sighing she rolled her eyes at them -why did they act like that?- not hat it was her place to judge but it seemed ridiculous how much the girls out into their looks, if she ever trusted someone enough to let them into her heart again she wanted them to love her for what she was now, not like Jex, always trying to change her and who she was. Don’t. She told herself don’t think about him. Easier thought than done Kristal was in need of distraction, standing up she brushed the sand off her feet before slipping her sandals back on and heading to her car. It wasn’t that nice, a small second hand thing it had a bit of rust on it and the silver paint was chipping but she liked it all the same. Hopping in she turned the keys in the ignition and watched as it came to life with a roar. driving away from the beach Kristal headed back into town.
Barely alive people trudged along, it was still early and still the sun beat down with unmerciful rays creating mirages of water on the road ahead. Pulling into the space in front of her building Kristal got out slamming the door behind her. -Great- she thought -now what?- not having a real location in mind Kristal headed left, down the road.
