Willow

Willow painstakingly trudged through the snow. Her tiny cub lagged behind, so she whipped around and grasped the mewling kit's scruff gingerly. She protested, but she really didn't care. As her journey continued into an isolated valley, a little warmer, she stopped and flexed her jaw muscles. Looking around, she spotted a cave about a lion-lenght above her head. Picking Cloud up once more, she scaled the rocky cliff face effortlessly and scouted the cave. Feeling it was safe enough, she laid down and curled around her cub, strange scents wrapping her nose in aroma. Then the scent of a male lion hit her face.

Cloud

She hated being toted about the cold winter mountains. Wriggling around in her mother's grip, she squealed, "Willow, why can't I just walk??" Then, being silently scolded by the pinning of her mother's ears, she relaxed and let her mother carry her few-pound weight. Finally reaching a cozy cave, she was almost asleep when her mother tensed. Lifting her head, she pricked her ears and licked Willow's pink nose.

Claw
I came from the back of the cave, my tail swishing back an forth, "Well, who do we have here?" i meowed, my voice deep, it sounded like i was always growling.

Willow

Startled by Claw's deep voice, or any voice in the cave she thought was safe, she sprang up and hissed, "When did you get here? I've been living here since I was six monthe old, and I never saw you!" Then, protectively covering her cub with her belly, she meowed loudly, "I have a cub. This was the nearest place..."

Cloud

Feeling terrified as the older male spoke to her mother, she puffed out her tail and growled, "Who are you?! Don't hurt Willow, or I'll bite off your toes!" Then, she huddled under her mother's soft belly as she was covered. Shivering, she tucked her paws under her and wrapped her tail around her nose.

Claw
I chuckled, "Well, princess, let me explain something. You left, I was looking for a place to stay, found here. And guess what, I've lived here for several moons and YOU have never shown up." i sneered.

Willow

She closed her eyes and sighed. "Gee, sorry, I had a cub, here, and I only left for a few weeks, but I was still living in these mountains. Lust at the base of this peak, too." she snarled angrily. She shook her snowy white fur, and twitched her whiskers.
"Yet, I've been living here longer, so I know these ranges better."

Cloud

Hearing her mother and Claw quarreling quietly, she burrowed deeper into her fur. She couldn't suppress a loud, squeaky yawn, then curled back into a ball.

Claw
I growled, "Never the less, I have claimed this as my own. And unless you would rather fight for it, i suggest you leave."

Willow

Refusing to go back out into the cold, snowy air, she sat down and dug her claws into the cave floor.
"You want her-" she flicked her tail towards Cloud, "To die? And it would be all your fault because there are no caves we can get into near here? I don't think so." she scoffed.Nudging her cub with a back foot, she licked her tiny cheek.

Cloud

Angered that the male wanted them to leave, she shot out from under her mother's protective belly and raked her tiny, sharp claws across his leg. She then shot back under her mother and cried, "The first wound of battle!"
