I felt my eyes get glassy as I thought about answering him. I didn't care if he asked who my Greek parent was, but it sounded like he was talking about both my parents. My voice was slightly strangled as I truthfully answered "I don't like talking about my parents."

[A. Ham]

Justin:
I saw the look on her eyes, and face, and looked down. I had not asked the right question, like always. It seemed that I had a knack for asking the worst there could be. "Hmm, I see. If it makes you feel any better, I've got Hermes as a Father. So, I probably have the worst genes of us both." I said.

"I don't have a father." A single tear strolled down my cheek as I sniffled and pulled my knees to my chest. I shook slightly, wanting to remember what my father looked like. His death was my fault. All my fault. If I could rewind everything I would of died instead of him.

[A. Ham]

Cael:
"Oh, I'm quite sorry." I said, moving over to sit beside her. I was never good with comforting people. Normally, I laughed at them because I found it funny. This was not. I began to awkwardly rub her back, probably looking like a creep by now. "It's okay." I said.

IRIS

I immediately tensed, feeling his hand soothingly skim up and down my back. I leaned slightly away from his hand, my lip trembling as I whispered, "My mother is Aphrodite." I didn't want to tell him about the story of my father, and I thought about getting up and leaving right then. I barely knew this Justin guy, and I've learned Hermes' kids aren't the best company. One time I was crying about my dad again in the infirmary, after I sprained my ankle walking through the forest and tripping on a log. One Hermes boy pretended to feel bad for me, until he stole a couple drachmas from my pocket. So, right now, I didn't exactly trust Justin.

[A. Ham]

Justin:
As I felt her pull away from my hand, I stopped and put it back by my side. When she said her mother was Aphrodite, I sighed. She did not seem like one of them, though. Most of them just laughed at me when I said who my Father was. They enjoyed mocking my elf-ish features. "You can go, if you like. I'm not known to be the best comfort, because of my Father." I said, sighing.

I knit my eyebrows; it was like he was reading my mind or something. I answered honestly, like I always am, "At least you're not like the others. Your siblings can be quite rude sometimes, and most mock around with me because I'm a daughter of Aphrodite." I told him about the time his half-brother stole the drachmas from me, but left out why I was crying.

[A. Ham]

Justin:
I shook my head as she spoke. "I can be just as bad as them, even worse. Though, I don't steal things from people. That's just crossing the line." I said, once she finished speaking. "I have a habit of mocking your siblings as well, but you don't come off as the type to have their head stuck in the clouds. Thinking that they're better than everyone else." I said.

I shook my head, standing up quickly and wiping sand off my jeans. "I think the absolute opposite. I'm useless, not good at anything." Except singing, I thought silently, wanting to practice in the secret cave I found in the woods, and find my guitar hidden in a fallen tree. "You don't seem like them, Justin. The others would've pickpocketed me when I walked by you, or was'nt looking."

Justin:
"I doubt that you're horrible at everything." I said, watching her stand up. "OH, but I am Just ask around with your sisters or brothers, I harass them on a regular basis. I'm just not in the mood to at the moment. That, and you don't bother me like most of them do." I said, going back to making designs in the water.
