Maybe the cutting stripes under their eyes are a permanent tear, dried into their sacred faces,
From all the tears they shed, tears... more sincere than those of humans,
But we'll never see behind their glass-like eyes,
And we'll never know why the Ancient Whelkon cry.
Why?
Why?
W h y?''

The first sad piece of the Ancient Whelkon,
The true idea behind them and any creature that has suffered because of greed really.

It's Alni with the ghost of her son,
She will never get over the pain.
What makes the Whelkon so human are real emotions; crying, sorrow, grief.
But what makes them more different from humans than anything else on this world are the emotions they'll never have; greed, cruelty and the want to kill.

It turned out as emotional as I hoped and I hope it touches your hearts in some way too.

On a happier note, I'l be removing all the sad expressions and ghostlyness, and making this into couple lines for AWE owners to color c:
The smaller guy will be the female.
