"NOTHING" she snapped tears going down her cheeks already "just dont ask..."

"Okay," Rye replied snippily, but, because he felt bad right away, he tried to sound gentler when he continued. He gently grabbed her elbow and pulled her to a stop. "Hey," he said, trying to not over think what he was doing so he wouldn't make a fool of himself. "I'm sorry." He timidly reached out and brushed the tears from her cheeks. "I won't ask again." He'd held her arm for only a moment, but at least he'd been able to intentionally touch her without it being a total necessity.

She pushed and just hugged him kinda in the middle or the road but dident care

Rye stood there stiffly for a moment but then akwardly returned the gesture; it was the best he could do. He carefully took a few more steps until they were on the curb of the oposite side walk, not letting go of heras he did so.

"im really sorry but please just bear through it for a little longer" she losened her arms around him incase he wanted to pull away

Rye was more than ready to retreat back into his bubble of solitude but he didnt. He was new to this affection thing but it felt nice to not hate someone for a change. "It's okay," he said.

"thankyou" she said then after a while she pulled back amd took a step back and sniffled a bit

"Are... you okay?" Rye was trying to be kind, but he was in way over his head and starting to wish he had those stupid little water wings -otherwise known as experience- to help him up.

She nodded"yea im ok been better tho" she smiled at him sweetly

Rye nodded, "well at least you're not at your worst," he said, trying for comforting. Whoa there, was that 'the glass is half full' talking right there? Hell just froze over. Even Rye's thought process didn't know how to handle this extended stretch of non-hostility and possibly affection between him and another human.
