Moonshade blinked at the tom and nodded. "Alright then." She looked at Sagepaw and said, "Stay here while we look for it. We don't want the younger one to do anything... well, strange." She flicked one ear. "Yowl for help if something happens." She turned and slunk through the ferns, moving ahead of Secretgrudge. She opened her jaws slightly, trying to pick up the mother's scent.

Sagepaw nodded at Secretgrudge. Yeah, I agree. She thought, then listened to Moonshade, and sighed ruefully. "Okay," She whispered. She had wanted to help, but it would also be mousebrained if the mother was found and she attacked. If this one was the baby, then the mother would be huge, and could kill a cat. Not to mention three unborn kits.

Secretgrudge waved his tail reassuringly to Sagepaw.

"Don't worry, once your kits are apprentices you can go back to risking your life on hare-brained idea's like the one we're about to go through." the tom murmured as a joke. Though if the mother was anything like this child then this was very dangerous.

"They are sleeping soundly now, thank you for the concern." the mother murmured.

"If it's enough to spook you then your dream can't be nothing." she pointed out.

Moonshade chuckled a little, rolling her eyes as she flicked her tail-tip along Secretgrudge's side and padded forward. "Come on, you." She stalked through the undergrowth silently and her dark tabby pelt blended in when tall ferns shielded them from sight with their shade. She paused after a while of trying to catch it's scent and her hackles rose for a second before calming down. Her gaze was intelligent and relaxed, nonetheless. She waited until the silvery tom had come up beside her whispered, "There it is." She angled her ears to the right in front of them, past the bushes and towards a flat, grassy patch. The large creature was grazing on the lush grass, and had not caught scent of them yet.

Hiding her annoyance at the nosy queen, the white sheet stood up. "Well, it's over now." she meowed before padding through the dirtplace tunnel. What a nosy queen! she thought. Thank StarClan ALL queen's aren't like that.

Sunflash smiled, pleased with what Shadepelt told her, more pleased than if anyone else had said it. "You're sweet," she told him, resting her tail gently on his for a moment. "I'm glad that I get to talk to you too," she said in a quiet tone, uncharacteristically shy. It was Shadepelt, his sweet demeanor and their friendship with eachother. Had to be.

Celestial flicked her tail & watched Winterfrost stalk away with a somewhat annoyed expression. She stared at the ground wondering if her worrying was too friendly of her, it wasn't like she was born and raised here like most of the cats. She knew no one but Eaglesong and Spiderfrost.

"Oh Nightwhisper...if you were here you would know what to do..." she murmured and went back to the entrance of the nursery.


Secretgudge stood his ears up in alertness and turned to where Moonshade spotted the mother.

"So...how should we handle this?"

Dewstorm got up and streched her limbs as Celestial came into the nursery, at first, she was going to greet her, but then, she saw Celestial's facial expression. Dewstorm opened her mouth to speak, but Foxkit broke in, "Whatcha' looken' sorry fo'?" He asked, "Foxkit! Don't talk like that!" Dewstorm scolded, then padded quietly up to Celestial, "What happened? Did someone do something?" She asked quietly. "Of course someone did something! What do you mean, 'did someone on-" With a flick of Dewstorm's tail, Steamkit was silenced. "C'mon! Lets restle!" Echokit suggested. Though, she just sat down when Dewstorm glared at her. Sighing, kits! She thought.
