My rat Twix just passed away a week and a half ago.
She was a beautiful hooded female with patches of brown in her black hood. A mycoplasmic respiratory infection killed her- she fought to breathe, but in the end it was still to much. Her sister and I were with her when her heart stopped beating. I miss her so much.

My rat Pablo is not very well. He has liquid on his lungs. The vet can't do amyhing, she said it's too dangerous to drain the liquid as chances are he won't survive being put under, plushi's age. Medication isn't working. :( I don't think he is to ill that he needs to be put down as he only gets problems when he exercises a lot so keeping him calm and resting means he should be okay I hope. If his problem gets much worst then I might have to concider eithinasia. ;(

I'm not to sure, he's been on antibiotics and something else but she said she will look for some more medication so hopefully he will be okay :)

Omg had a break through. I found out that dark chocolate is good for rats with breathing problems so I got some and gave Pablo a tiny piece (only about a mini corner) and he sounds amazing. He can happily run about with no issue. It's like magic :D
