(I really probably should post. I promise that I shall become more active. School ends this week and then I am home free! Yay!)

..::Jane Doe::.

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, James," Jane said, throwing another of her signature smirks his way. Already, she was sizing him up, trying to decide whether or not she was going to like him. He seemed nice enough, though the hesitations of his introduction worried her slightly. She might have an anti-social kid on her hand. That just made her job that much harder. Oh boy...this should be fun.

"Yea...I probably should be in some class or another. Not 100% sure which class, but I think it might be English. Eh, we're reading The Great Gatsby[/b]. Been there, done that." Yes, maybe she should be more "encouraging" when it comes to classes and learning. She was, infact, an angel, therefore she [i]should be promoting wholesome, educational stuff. She wasn't much of a school person, though. Not that she didn't enjoy learning, but being trapped in one building for 7 hours didn't exactly sit with her well, especially when she was in math class.

"Now, shouldn't you be in class?" Jane countered, trying to get to the root of the problem that was pretty evident. James didn't appear to be in a serene mood, so something had to be up.

      I nod at Autumn's advice. Glancing up at the clock, I realize we only have a few minutes left."Aargh. The only thing I hate about this class is that there's never enough time." I look down at my paper, now very dirty from my hand smudging all over it. "Ha! Look at that. I match the paper." I hold up my dirty hand, and giggle. "I am soooooo talented." I smile, and bend down to finish. It was an easy fix, the one Autumn pointed out. I hold up the picture and turn it to my charge. "Do you like it?" I ask. I remember to sign my name really fast, and I put To Autumn at the top. "Here. You can have it. I'll just make another one tomorrow."

{ { Alexandra Jane Bennett & James Edward Benedict Rotherington } }

Honesty is the best policy.
{ alexa; location - maths; mood - normal; doing - thinking} { james; location - reception; mood - inquisitive; doing - talking to Jane}

      James rather disliked the way Jane smirked at him, but looked at her with polite interest anyway. "The Great Gatsby eh? It's boring when you've read it more than twice, though I do like the way Fitzgerald uses The Eyes of Doctor T. J. Eckleburg to develop certain characters. Does the book not interest you?" He asked, finding it easier to talk about a subject he was comfortable with. His mind wandered back to the conversation, of which he replied, "Most certainly so I think - but I have left my timetable at school so I don't know what lesson I should be in." James concealed a sigh; talking to people about tedious topics about his life.

      "How come you're not in lesson anyway?" James tried not to make it sound like he was prying, but this girl made him curious. Some students often bunked the lessons they disliked, but English was rather enjoyable for James - probably because he actually liked reading, for one.

      Sniperizspy!o.0 wrote:Alexa smiled uneasily at the boy, before continuing to draw. The teacher was being boring, as usual, so she would just get notes off James later. The doodle quickly became a drawing. It resembled a beautiful meadow, which was mirrored on the bottom half. Though instead of a sweet meadow scene, it was barren and the trees were dead. The clouds were dark and covered the non-existent sun. Alexa looked at it in wonder, maybe I should make this a canvas drawing, she mused in her head whilst trying to imagine it splattered across and massive frame - striking above the rest.

Autumn gasped. "Its beautiful!" she breathed. She glanced down at her finished drawing and turned it over sheepishly. "The view from which you drew it! It's so difficult to draw in that way." She grinned at Lilly. She seemed so perfect. In everything that she did and looked like. She was a little jealous. Autumn pushed that feeling away. If there was anything worse than alienating friends, it was doing it with jealousy. "I don't want it!" She teased, pretending to turn her nose up at it and frown "Hey, maybe we could get it sent out and put on display in a bird museum.... It would certainly look good in a gold, vintage frame" She commented, putting her hand on her chin in thought. Scratching her hair and stroking her 'beard' for effect. Then it won't have to worry about being eaten by my puppy.

      I laugh. "But why? I put the back of my hand to my head dramatically and pretend to faint. "I give it as a gift to you, and you want to sell it? Oh! The horror!" I pop back up, and smile. "Vintage, huh?

Autumn grinned and lent forward in mock old fashion. "But Madame, such a spiffing piece of artwork deserves its place in a vintage frame, old cocker"She said in a posh voice and pretended to look at the art through an eyepiece. "Oh, but looking closely... It looks like a pile of tosh. Good day." Continuing her posh voice, she straightened her clothes and walked with a stiff back to the teacher. Turning around to wink at Lilly

      "Not sure,"I say. That's not actually true. I do know, because I matched up all to my classes with Alexander's and hers. I made sure to pick classes that they would go to, and scheduled them together. We have an inside link with a lady who does the scheduling. She always makes exceptions for us and our charges to be together. I honestly don't care about grades anymore, since I've taken all these classes a gazillion times in my thousands of years, so I pretend when I'm with Charges. "I'll have to check." I pause, thinking about how I'm going to ask if she knows my other Charge. "Hey, Autumn. Do you know Alexander?"

Autumn trotted back to Lilly. "What lesson do we have next?" She she asked still in her posh voice She packed her stuff away and looked over at the clock. "Any second... NOW!" as she said the word now, the loud sound of the bell rung out around them. She grinned and winked again. "You know me!" she said with a loud giggle

..::Jane Doe::.

"The Great Gatsby is my favorite book, actually," Jane informed James, "But after you have discussed how Dr. Eckleburg represents a lack of God, picked over Gatsby's funeral scene and pondered the theme of expectations vs reality a thousand times over, English class becomes a bit dull. That is exactly why I am skipping it." She crossed her arms, satisfied with her answer. The Great Gatsby was pretty much her life for the longest time. She was alive when it was first published, and she even had a 1st edition tucked away somewhere. But with every English class she took, the book died a bit more, so she avoided class like the plague.

The bell rang and the hall rapidly began to fill with people. It struck Jane that maybe she should head to her next class and be a good influence, for once. She opened up her messenger bag and pulled out the crumbled piece of paper with her schedule on it. With some help from Lily, she managed to coordinate her schedule with her charge's. Of course, she wouldn't tell him that, but with some wittiness, she could easily solve his problem, just like the good guardian angel she was supposed to be.

"Well, we probably shouldn't miss this next class. I have Biology. Why don't you just tag along and we can figure out where you are supposed to be from there."
