"I sound like dark chocolate and fire..." Luke said wistfully, staring almost hypnotically into Rose's eyes. "Can I post that as my FaceBook status or is it copy-writted?" He was in awe of this girl. It was like a superpower... So much better than what made him different. Being gay just got you treated like garbage.

Rose shrugged. "Sure," she answered. "I don't care. Just as long as you don't tell anyone I said it." This is one of the reasons I don't talk to people, Rose said. They lie. They cheat. They ask too many questions. They pretend like they care when really they don't. She knew that not everyone was like that, though, but it was hard to ignore all the bad things about those who went to school here.

Josh shrugged a little. "I don't really care," he said. "Its actually kind of nice to have someone to listen to."
Ezekiel couldn't help but smile. "Well, um, thank you then... for listening." He said then hated himself for being so awkward.

Josh smiled. He was really tempted to act like he didn't care and just shrug it off, but he couldn't. He usually did that, and it was strange for him not to be able to. "You're welcome," he said. He could feel his smile fade a little when he remembered the one thing that he hadn't told anyone. Couldn't tell anyone. Not even Andy. It was the one thing that probably mattered the most that concerned his dad.

.:Luke:.
Luke frowned, was getting a bad feeling off of Rose. Like, she didn't like him. "You don't want anyone to know you said it?" He was confused by this, why not? Then, his familiar smile reappeared, "Okay, I won't tell anyone." His pinky was extended towards her, as an invitation. "I promise." He was hoping she'd take his offer, not just the promise. But for friendship, he needed some friends. What was the point in being happy, if you couldn't share it with other people.
