The 25th Hunger Games (Hybrid Hunger Games rp; semi-lit)

[ Jake ]

I don't find anything the first little while of the hunt. I get frustrated, and decide go back. I start my slow trek back to our encampment. I get there, and see a small squirrel in the tree, so I throw my stick at it. It misses, and I scare it away. I glare at where it used to be, and walk down to Nicole. "No luck. What about you? Did you find any berries?"

Nicole:
"Yep" I say. I decide not to tell him about what happened. If he notices he notices but if not fine. I hand him my bow and an arrow. "This might work better" I laugh

[city;]

[ Jake ]

I look at the now and arrow. "Just maybe..." I laugh, and take it. The feeling of it in my hand makes me feel a little more able that that stick, but a weapon is a weapon, and in the Hunger Games, you can't complain. I look up at Nicole to say thanks, and I notice a weird look on her face. "What happened?" I ask, watching her closely.

Nicole;
"nothing" I say, I'd always been a terrable liar but I felt that I did better with this then normally.
(WB big time)

[ Jake ]

I narrow my eyes. "You know, you're a horrible liar. I'm a very good people reader." I put my hand on her arm. "Please tell me. I don't want any secrets." I pause momentarily as I see an arrow missing from the set. "Nicole. What did you shoot?" I have a huge hunch, hearing the cannon earlier. I just hope it wasn't her.

Nicole:
(Hey! I just wrote an 18 page story for school! Give me a break! lol)
I wince when he touches my arm "I killed someone. it was an accident though!" I say "Hesiod" i say
I stand up as I hear a sound. I grab the bow from him and aim it at the bush the sound came from. I fire.
A squeal sounds from the bush and I go over. A Rabbit. i grin and hold it up. I shot it in the stomach which wasn't the best but at least I shot it.
"Dinner" I grin again and sit down. "Cr@p we can't cook it" I frown
(I think that was her name)

[ Jake ]

I frown when she winces. She shoots the rabbit so quickly, I don't have time to react. "Nice shot," I compliment her. "We can always eat it raw after we freeze it in the river. It's cold enough in there."

Nicole:
"What ever you say boss" I smile and hand the bow back to him. Is lay back on the ground and close my eyes. I trust him for now, i don't think he'd kill me while I'm laying down. He'd want a fight. I grin "Should we sleep in a tree?" I ask. "Or perhaps the hole i fell in earlier?"

[ Jake ]

"Umm... Tree?" I ask. I think it would be better. It offers more camouflage against ther tributes. I guess if we did, and had to make a quick escape, we could go tree jumping. "Not the hole. We'll be cornered in that."

Nicole:
I smile. "Okay" i start climbing up the tree. I get to the top and sit down. I find a notch and sit in it. Not exactly comfy but okay I guess. i reach down for Jake "You coming slow poke?" I laugh
