"I told you these Floral remedies are hardly used since we don't have many mental illnesses, and the clan has each other for most of their issues. These are usually for those rare extreme cases." Spiderfrost spoke as the two started to walk towards the forest. Her eyes stayed sharp as she kept an I out for the flowers.

"Also it is a very long and sometimes hard process to get the flowers ready for use since you can not just eat them like most of the herbs medicine cats use. More than half the flowers are poisonous unless used properly. My mentor, Stormbringer was the one who discovered most of the uses and painstaking preparation and use for the plants." she explained.

Secretgrudge blinked, and looked up from his thoughts to glance at Moonshade. He nodded wordlessly and padded over.

"I would be welcome to, where do plan to go hunt?"

"Along the northern border," Moonshade stated, looking towards the entrance. "There were a lot of field mice there last time I saw." She looked back at the two with ominous eyes - the way they usually were. That was how her clan saw her, as a mysterious, smart and peaceful cat. That was probably the reason why she'd become deputy and not someone like Owlscrape or Angelsong. The thought made her feel uncomfortable but didn't show anything of the sort on her beautifully dark face. She blinked her dark, sea-blue eyes and they brightened slightly, seeing her apprentice. Though Sagepaw was not even that young as an apprentice, she still thought of the pregnant she-cat as her responsibility. Then she noticed the white cat look a tad uncomfortable when she laid eyes on Cloudfeather.
Moonshade wasn't stupid; she knew at once the two didn't exactly get along. But they were clanmates and they'd have to learn to. She smiled a little as she called, standing beside Secretgrudge, "Sagepaw! We're going to hunt! Maybe you should join us."

Sagepaw purred, "Sure, Moonshade!" She said as she looked back at the blind she-cat Cloudfeather, was looking at her as if she weren't blind and let out a huff in gloating, and in return, Cloudfeather hissed softly. She's just jelious. Besides, she's doomed into darkness. She snorted in her head and glanced down at her stomach one last time before turning her full attention to Moonshade. She was worried, though relieved. Her stomach was bigger, and soon she would become snappy and move to the mursery, and the worst part was delivering, but she would stay strong, For you, sweetie. She thought to her old mate. She missed him deirly, but would hate living with twolegs, and being poked by big metal things that went into her skin, but atleast she wouldn't get sick.

Secretgrudge nodded and waited for Moonshade to make her move. He stared at her, a glimmer of a calm happy in his eyes. After some time, the lovely she-cat has relaxed in her position as deputy and walks with an air of confidence that he had not seen in the darkly colored she-cat the time she was first appointed. It was like she had become a new cat, Secretgrudge liked it. Though he had to admit, he hasn't exactly been able to eat now, being so distracted by the graceful confidence in which she walked with now.

The tom glanced at the exchange between Cloudfeather and Sagepaw. He shook his head, both fully grown cat should learn to stop messing with each other, Cloudfeather was blind and should just focus on enhancing her other senses, than a pregnant apprentice in his own opinion. But it wasn't worth speaking up about such a small matter.

Moonshade nodded. "Good. Now the three of us are set," she purred to her apprentice. Then the dark tabby looked at Cloudfeather and said, "Maybe take Owlscrape to patrol the western border. And one other apprentice, maybe. It'll be faster with that amount of cats." She smiled and flicked her tail; hiding her suspicions of the slithery tom. "Maybe it'll be better if he didn't spend every moment with Angelsong.." she mumbled under her breath. She hoped no one heard her. She looked at Sagepaw and Secretgrudge now, and started towards the entrance, tail and chin held high. "Let's go, you two," she mewed and waited for them at the ferns before disappearing into the forest. She trotted alongside Secretgrudge, happy to be out with the two cats she actually knew were her friends. She cared for Sagepaw greatly and would do anything to protect her, along with all her other clanmates.
But the same went for Secretgrudge... maybe even more. He had been the one to help her out of her uncomfortable, nervous state when she was first named deputy. Though he had started out not so nice, she couldn't help but smile when they caught each other's gaze. He made her feel warm inside and honestly, s he didn't understand what was going inside her at the moment. But that didn't matter. She liked it.

Sagepaw couldn't help but feel like a kit. She hadn't ever been with a patrol, and felt exited. Tingling, she bounced around Moonshade and Sercretgrudge and squilled in exitment when a fuzzy fell on her snout and found a mouse, purring, she squatted down and stalked the mouse. Finally, she leaped, into the small open clearing where the fat mouse was sleeping. But, instead of killing it right away, Sagepaw swatted it and played with it for about a minute before killing it and dropped it at Moonshade's paws.

Moonshade paused when Sagepaw caught something. She smiled with approval when the mouse was laid at her paws. She had noticed her messing with the prey, though. She leaned in close and whispered, "Good catch. But next time, I think it'll be better if you don't tease your prey before you actually kill it." She understood Sagepaw was excited, but she still had to learn clan ways. Every clan cat knew you had to treat your kill with respect. Thank Starclan for it's life.

Secretgrudge turn his head towards the two she-cats and twitched his tail. He scented something large, it wasn't another owl, but it definitely smelt like something that one cat could not take down alone.

"Hey, Moonshade...there's something along the Northern border I can't tell what it is. But it is big." he reported.

Moonshade's smile faded when she looked at Secretgrudge. She narrowed her eyes, pelt bristling slightly. She inhaled deeply, then growled. "I don't know what it is either. We need to check it out." She flicked one ear, silently ordering the two to follow her through the forest towards the northern border. She feared what it was now that could possibly be waiting for an attack. That owl was bad enough; the thought of it clawing at her fiercely made her wince a little for there were still scars attempting to heal across her beautiful pelt.
Once relatively near the border, Moonshade slowed her pace to sniff around, looking for the creature that was in their territory. Her eyes and ears were alert as she scented the air.
