Casey watched the kid eat his burger. " do you don't have a mom or dad?" she asked.

Alec looked at her "Well I have them but there dead." He said simply not looking grieved or like he even cared.

Casey gasped. " there dead!?" she said feeling aweful for the kid. She was considering letting the kid stay with her.

Matthew nodded " there are hundreds of kids like him." he looked at Casey " their parents are dead and in my hometown, they were killed in the army."

Alec shrugged "Ya they are why does it matter? It doesn't matter to me so it shouldn't matter to you, but don't think they died in the the army someone said something about maharaja when I was five " He said looking like he could care less.

Casey listened." we'll Matt I never knew, and I am sorry Alec." she thought for a while, " do you want to stay with me for a while?" she asked trying to show she cared for him.

Alec shrugged "I don't have any thing against you but I don't really like staying with strangers." he said
(Its very strange because almost everyone in the sub way is a stranger to him:))

" look Alec, I have no intentions of hurting you or anything, I just think you need somewhere to stay for a while. You don't need to stay with me forever, just for a couple of days." she said. " I have plenty of food, I can take you out for ice cream, I have TV, I even have two dogs for you to play with." she said with a smile.

Alec thought for a second then said "Ok if its only for a couple of days i guess......"

" yeah, only for a few days." she smiled. She looked at Matt, " I think I need to get home." she said. She looked down at her drink she had only taken a few steps. " ready to go Alec?" she said.
