Above is Shadowstar.

You pad through the thick forest. There is foiliage and tall trees all around you. You pass a small stream as well. The forest is lush and prey is plentiful. You hit a border marker, and the scent of clan cats washes over you. You take a deep breath and cross it, and continue on your walk. Your paws are heavy and your eyes tired, your fur is matted and clumped with dirt. I hope their leader is kind enough to let me join... You think to yourself. Will a patrol ever find me?


Rules;
If you do not participate in the RP for 25 pages without an excuse beforehand (i.e grounded, vacation, etc) you will be removed from the clan list and if you come back, you will need to resubmit your form. You will be sent a message before you are removed, and will have 2 days to reply before you are removed.

Adder barrack – Toothache
Alfalfa – Used to prevent tooth decay
Aloe Vera – Use the leaves; treat burns and skin problems (insect bites, etc.)
Blessed Thistle – Helps strengthen the heart & lungs; increases circulation
Borage - Leaves and Roots should be consumed to stave off fevers. Seeds and leaves should be consumed by the nursing Queen to increase available milk.
Borage should never be used dried, only green.
Bramble twigs (chewed to a fine syrup) – Helps to sleep
Broom Malice Poultices – Open wounds
Burdock Root – Used to relieve joint pains (like arthritis) Good for rat bites and infected wounds
Catnip - Used to ease pain and help to cure Greencough, Blackcough and Whitecough, very important to have! Gathered and pressed into wounds to stop bleeding. Generally only used with wounds that risk bleeding heavily as they can cause increased risk of infection.
Celandine - Used to strenghten weak eyes.
Chamomile - Used to relax, leaves and flowers sooths heart & gives physical strength
Chapparal – Helps clean faces (helps with cat acne)
Chervil Juice - Best for infected wounds.
Chervil Root - Used to cure bellyache
Cobwebs - Used to stop bleeding
Comfrey - Used to help cure for broken bones
Deathberry (Deadly Nightshade) - Berries, or any other part of the plant, when consumed will kill the cat who swallows if they are not given immediate help, and even then they may not always be saved. Roots & leaves may be chewed together and applied to sore places, but must NEVER be applied to open wounds.
This is a poison in addition to a healing plant.
Dock leaves - Used to make fur slippery when stuck in a tight space
Echinacia - Used to ease infection.
Ferns – Helps to clean out wounds by just the inside part after “crunching” off the outer “shells”
Fever - Leaves can be used to reduce fever, in addition to being consumed to aid against colds and stomach ailments.
Feverfew - Used to reduce head pain
Garlic – Ear infections and wounds
Ginger – Used for asthma and coughs
Goldenrod - A muscle pain reliever
Hawthorne Berries – Treats heart burns and indigestion
Honey - Used to sooth irritated throats and other things, particularly good for smoke inhalation
Horsetail – Chew the leaves and spit into wounds; stops infections
Huckleberry – A muscle pain reliever
Ivy – Calms down
Juniper berries - Good for belly ache and whitecough. Berries ease the stomach and can serve as a counter poison. Leaves are used to ease coughs and other respiratory problems.
Lavender - Leaves & flowers are particularly good when eaten for easing pains in head and throat, and good for a chill.
Inhaling the sent of fresh flowers can also calm the nerves.
Marigold - Leaves and Flowers should be consumed to relieve chills.
Leaves and Petals can be chewed and placed on wounds to prevent infection.
Mouse - Bile from the liver of the common mouse may be harvested and used to kill stubborn fleas and ticks.
Nettle - Leaves are used on rashes and fever
Poppy (wild) - Seeds can be consumed to remove pain and aid is sleep.
Flower heads should be consumed together to relive continuous coughs.
Petals and Leaves should be chewed to aid in sleep and improve resting.
Ragweed Leaves - Relives stiff joints
Roots - Good for belly-aches
Sacred bark – Used for upset stomach
Snakeroot - Used to counter poison
Tansy - Leaves, flowers, and Stems should be eaten together to remove worms. Leaves may be chewed to relive joint aches.
Flowers should be consumed to remove coughs.
Pregnant Queens should NEVER be given Tansy, for it causes miscarriages.
Thyme - Should be consumed to calm the anxious cat, or to aid in brining restful sleep.
Water mint - Used to cure bellyache
Willow (Tree) - Water from beneath the bark of the flowering willow may be dripped into the eyes to help clear blurriness of vision. It may also be applied to dry patches of skin to sooth itches.
Small amounts of Willow Bark may be consumed to ease pain, act against inflammation, and to ease diarrhea or fevers.
Yarrow Leaves - Makes them throw-up and extract poison
Yarrow Ointment – Scraped paws
Yew - Even one kills cats in seconds

Territory

The Forest

Thick with pine trees and underbrush, foiliage, and a mostly pine needle forest floor, it is great for birds, mice, voles, thrush, water thrush (near stream) and squirrels especially. But rabbits, shrew, toads and lizards can also be found here and hunted.

The Stream

The stream is surrounded by rocks on either side, then followed by trees. On the right side marks the territory border into the next clan. Water thrush and water voles are most common here, along with seasonal fish that ShadeClan is not very skilled at hunting. Cats come here to drink and forbidden meetings with cats from other clans usually takes place here, when they do.

Training Hollow

Surrounded by fallen trees and a soft ground, it is perfect for practicing battle moves. It also has trees to practice climbing and a great view of the sunrise. Squirrels can occasionally be found here along with mice or birds. Not that often, though.

Abandoned Two Legs Nest

The abandoned nest is home to various crucial and useful herbs for medicine cats and harbors lots of mice in all seasons, more so during Leaf Bare. Though it has alot of good prey and herbs, it is risky. Foxes den around here during Leaf Bare and it is also an old nest, very creaky and unsturdy, cats must step lightly.

Camp Entrance

A hollow tree with moss and undergrowth comes with bramble thickets and holly bushes, a self-guarded entrance and is quite hidden, only cats that know what it looks like will be able to tell the entrance by sight.

Leader's Den

This is the Leader's den, where the leader and her mate will resign at night or even during the day. On top of this den is a large, flat, tall rock known as the High Ledge. It overhangs above the den (not shown in picture) and the leader goes here to preform naming ceremonies or adress the clan. You must crawl up a few fallen rocks and crevices to get here from the bottom.

Medicine Cat Den

This is the Medicine Cat's den. It has a tiny trail that leads to the top of the den outside; an ideal place for sunbathing. Inside it has cracks and crevices along a stone wall in the back, great for storing herbs, and is large; good for holding sick or injured cats. Near the stone wall there are hanging brambles that lead into a smaller, rock cave that holds a small natural spring, no bigger then about 5 tail-lengths across either way. Near the pool, there is an empty space, where the medicine cat can put his/her nest.

The Nursery

A soft sandy entrance, safe for newborn kits, and above and surrounding it are flat sunning rocks, which keeps the inside of the stone den warm and cozy during the day and night. Inside the walls are soft dirt and the ground is grassy and soft, perfect for the kits and nursing queens. It is large enough to hold a few nursing queens and many kits.

Apprentice's Den

Nuzzled inbetween 2 fallen boulders, the sun that bakes on it during Leaf Bare acts like a heater, keeping it warm during the day and night. Inside the flooring is mostly pine needles and dirt. It is large enough to hold many, many small bodies of the newly appointed or senior apprentices.

Warrior's Den

Here your warriors resign at night or sometimes during the day. It is very large and goes back far. The ground is mostly dirt and small pebbles with pine needles and small patched of grass. The roofing is sturdy but has small patches missing that make the area inside dim at night.

Description:
An extremely small brown tom with fur ranging in different shades of brown through out his body. He has reddy brown fur on his head and greyish brown on his belly, chest, and feet as well as white around his mouth. His eyes are a deep, dark brown and always betray his true emotion. Birdpaw's fur is feathery and fluffy. He tends to look like a giant sparrow because of his markings, giving him his name.
Personality:
Birdpaw is very intellegent and loves everyone in his clan. He holds nothing against anyone not from his clan and is very quick to make friends. He is fun loving and outgoing. He enjoys hunting and would rather be doing that or just enjoying life, rather than fighting. He tends to find enjoyment in the simplest things and can often be found hiding from training or duties in favour of playing with the clans kits, or even batting around a ball of moss by himself if no one else is willing to play. Birdpaw has a horribly short attention span, and while it is easy to catch his attention, it is a whole other thing to keep it, so often his ability to learn information quickly is wasted because he will soon be distracted in favour of more fun activities.

BirdPaw's feathery tail twitched in anticpation as he stalked forward towards his next victim. His small dainty paws glided across the forest floor, dancing his way through the twigs littering it so as to not make a sound. He crouched low and rocked his weight eagerly from foot to foot, large brown eyes shimmering with thrill. Suddenly in a blur of brown and white, he lept, and sucesssfully pinned his prey betweed his paws. The petite young cat gave a purr of pleasure, listening to his prey of choice, a large, brown, dried up leaf, crackle between his soft paws. He swiped his tongue around his jaws and looked around with keen interest, wondering what to 'hunt' next.

Kestrelpaw ...

Kestrelpaw just flicked her ears and followed her mentor. "Very well. You are the mentor." Her voice got a tone quieter at the end, her eyes took on a playful sparkle, and she trotted passed him towards the entrance, giving the smoky warrior a flick on the shoulder with her tail. She held that tabby tail high and her blue eyes fixed on the entrance. She knew her mentor wouldn't take it as a sign of disrespect that she headed in front of him. As her snowy paws hit the brambles of the entrance, hunting mode took over and her jaws parted, her pupils dialated. Yeah, yeah. Smokefur had said no hunting. And it wasn't like she was going to prance into the forest looking for prey - but if something happened to scuttle across her paws and yell, "Hey! Kill me!" she doubted Shadowstar would object to her feeding her clan. She didn't plan on disobeying Smokefur, either. She exited and trotted only a few taillengths ahead of him. She didn't think anybody really understood her love for the forest, and how in tune she was with it. She was an extremely skilled cat in battle at only 10 moons, she could take on two other apprentices and win with just a scratch, but even at that, hunting was her calling. She was even better at hunting than in battle. She just liked the feeling of adrenaline, the challenge of staying silent as a shadow, and the feeling of accomplishment when she fed her clan. Blue eyes swinging left to right, she called over her shoulder while her legs continued working over the soft soil. "Have any certain place in mind?" The training hollow would be the most obvious, but Smokefur was as unpredictable as the weather sometimes.
