Sandra's cry pierced through the air. Abi immediately began to run full-speed toward her. Sandra was attempting to walk to a tree, accompanied by another dog. "W-what the heck happened to you?!" Abi screamed. Her fur bristled and a deep growl escaped her throat as the scent of Sandra's attacker was still fresh in Abi's sharp senses. Seeing as Sandra was being tended to, Abi took it upon herself to hunt it down.
Breaking into another full sprint, several loud and menacing barks escaped Abi's mouth. Whoever did this—whatever did this—was going to pay. The shepherd burst through the jungle brush, pushing herself as hard as she could. Then, the trail stopped. Panting hard, Abi was at a dead stop. She turned around, looking in all directions.
"Where did it—?"
Suddenly the ocelet lept from a tree above, pinning Abi to the ground. She growled and struggled, but the cat bit her shoulder. A cry of pain was sent through the trees, but Abi retaliated, sinking her teeth into the cat's shoulder as well, missing its neck.
She threw the thing off of her, quickly climbing to her feet. The blood dripped down her leg, her head low and her whole body in attack mode. Lunging forward, the cat was too quick, and Abi missed. Even injured, this thing was tough.
She sent out a howl, seeking help as she was again bitten by the cat, retaliating by scratching at its face.
