Ignoring the crappy coloring job, what do you guys think of my new species the Itzala? The guy featured in this picture is Vitani, and he's completely boggled by what he used to look like before the Itzala had evolved. They used to be Mountain Hares.

That's really good! great job.

I finally did a drawing with shading and scattering. I like it a lot.

@ Shiko: that's a wonderful idea, very different from all the wolf things ie seen, good job. I have a picture of a sitting hare here just do you can see it, the over all pose you made is surprisingly accurate, this is or if you want to polish things up a little.
Click!

Ella, that's a good drawing, the eye is my favorite and as for the scatter of light you could make it more natural by lowering the opacity for the dark blue and using a mixture of lighter colors/darker colors.

Ibeewho, I don't have much for you other than that I love the shading and I can't wait for if you make isola a ref.^^

Snow the arm looks a tad thin and I like the hair. I'm assuming you went for a manga/anime style? {someone got a tad fussy at me a while ago.}

This comment is all in context of course. ya know, in respects to chibi styles.
Her arm feels kinda awkward when it comes to the whole pose. I don't think you will understand entirely what i mean but I feel like it should be bent more. Like the forearm closer to the arm.
Her collar bone looks really blocky, if you know what I mean. To me it feels like it was kinda added in because you know it's supposed to be there, but you're not too sure how you're supposed to work with it. google images collarbone

From an anatomical standpoint, her face is totally way too big and her eyes are gigantic. But this shouldn't be anything you don't already know.

Any comments or crit on this?

~Snow

Like atomic said, the eyes are huuuge.
Also, her mouth looks too small even for an anime style, it looks a bit like she has no nose, and her neck is wayy to thin.
Nice color scheme, though~ c:

Snow- since she has animalistic ears try bringing them higher a bit, not to much. I think if your going for a cartoon kinda look then the features look good just define the nose a little more.

Just made another hybrid sketch. Its out of my most favored mythical beings. This is my creation so please do not steal it. I know the head is a bit big but my hand wouldn't let me make it smaller. Im horrible at hands and the front arms are a bit short, unintentionally. Crits and color suggestions are welcome. :)

Shiko- if your trying to do a mix of human and rabbit together I can give you a quick ref for the body structure. Your a bit off on some points. Its a males right?

Ella- that looks really nice though I suggest putting a faint outline on the mane and tail because I couldn't see it unless I looked at it for a few moments. It looks really good though.

I was going to mention this but forgot to.
And my comment isn't really about this post directly I just quoted this one cause it's small and the first one I saw. Anywho with the way your shading now, could I make a recommendation? I say this a lot but maybe consider looking into ambient light/backlight. I think your pieces would look greater than they already do. It's just that righ now they have the pop-up effect, like everything is embossed. Everything around whatever your drawing reflects light back onto your subject so there's usually same light on te other side of your object not facing the light source. Shadows are darkest where they hit, usually, if not always. If you hold your hand up near a window or a light or whatever you'll see what I mean. Maybe even consider experimenting with colour now, as depending on the colour of light and intensity of light the light and shadows created differ. I think it would be worth your time to check all these things out for yourself, maybe they can help you out and make your art better.

I am not bsing you. I used to shade like too until I read pk's colour theory. Now I will never be the same lol.

Tl;dr: Check out what ambient light is and apply it to your artsus, you might see a difference in how your art appears. /twocents

Hey there everyone! I'm xXxAkumaSoulxXx, but call me Kuma. Or Flurry. B)
Long story behind the last nickname, soooooooo, yes. I consider myself alright at this stuff we artists only call art.
Anywho, come to my stream? https://join.me/977-102-432
Designing things and want some critqueness, it's also be epic if I could have some fun with new friends. :3
But yeah.
Fail designs are fail, don't get high hopes.
XD

Also, pen pressure is a pain to work with! :I
With my pen it makes the pressure line thicker and with pencil it makes the color dim which is irritating if I want size 2, since it's always a pain to adjust to anyways on my pen and just wanna lock alpha something a set color.

._. ?

Help?

EDIT : Y'oops! I forgot to critque. :/

Ella556 ~ I like the mane, though the lines could be smoother. Maybe you could work on flanks a bit... Meh. My friends and I are a bit picky about our ponies. :3

Bast ~ That is epic. It just is. o3o
How do you people even come up with those wonderful creatures?! :D
Also, epical anatomy. I seriously cannot draw humans or horse-like creatures to save my life. XD

Shiko ~ That's really cool! I think it's pretty awesome. I agree with the other guys over the references and such, but that's still really epic.

(My words are so descriptive, yes? XP )
