"Then what did you mean?" Sandra asked, keeping her voice steady. She had enjoyed talking to Abi but if she was going to have this attitude about Angel, then she wanted nothing to do with her. Sandra looked at the pup, guilt stabbing her in the chest. She nudged the pup slightly. "What's wrong?" the terrier asked.

[Mario]

Angel looked at her with tears in her eyes. "I caused this, didn't I," she nearly choked out. She couldn't bear to see two friends having a conflict because of her.

"No, no you didn't. You didn't do anything wrong." Sandra told the pup, her voice soft and comforting. It became very clear the change in tone when she was speaking to Abi and when she was speaking to Angel. "If anybody did anything wrong its me, I overreacted." Sandra added, licking the pup gently on her cheek.

[Mario]

Angel sniffed once. "Really?" The pup wasn't any happier, because she liked Abi and didn't want her to go.

"I promise." Sandra replied. She looked at the fish. She sniffed the fish then wrinkled her nose. "Would you like some?" she asked, trying to change the subject. Sandra nudged the fish towards Angel, hoping that the pup might like fish because Sandra definitely didn't.

[Mario]

Angel tilted her head at it. "I've never had fish before." She murmured, before cautiously taking a bite of it. She stood there, slowly chewing. Her eyes widened and she spit it out. "Bleh! Eww! Gross!" She hobbled a few feet away from it and flopped down, rubbing her paws over her tongue continuously.

"I meant," Abi began, "have you ever tried fish before?" she stated more than asked. "Does it have to be more complex than that?" She heard Angel whining but knew that Sandra would reassure her. Sure enough, she did; and the happiness quickly returned to the puppy's voice, so she continued on her way. The others seemed to still be asleep, or perhaps laying there quietly. When she reached the stream there was still no prey, except for fish, which Abi really didn't want right now.

Sandra giggled slightly. "C'mon, if you want I'll try to catch you something to eat." she offered, looking disgustedly at the sight of the fish. Well, at least Abi would enjoy the fish. Sandra got to her paws and wagged her tail, looking lovingly at the pup. She sniffed the air, breathing in the scents of the jungle.

[Mario]

Angel smiled and nodded. "Okay." She got up, lightly pressing against Sandra for protection.

Punk had walked the entire length of the island, sniffing out small animals when he was hungry and refinding his stream when he was thirsty. He sighed softly as he gazed out over the ocean, the others had been right it was an island and there was no way off. But, in his exploring he'd found a small network of caves that could serve well for Shelter, he sniffed the air until he caught the scent he was looking for and headed to find Sandra and Abi to tell them what he found.
