Chapter Two:
Icetalon sat at the border, waiting for Heathercloud. She was beautiful, and looked very nice.
Her sleek, pale, red tabby fur with patches of white...Her gentle, caring, blue eyes...Her soft, silky fur...Her lithe, skinny but strong frame...He just loved everything about her!
He looked at the moon. It was half of full size. The medicine cats will be at the Moonpool tonight. Good. He thought. Then he saw a shape, running towards him. "Icetalon!" It was Heathercloud.
The she-cat skidded to a halt right at the border. She dipped her head to the white tom. "Now...Why did you want to meet me?" She asked. Icetalon seemed puzzled. "I-I thought it was obvious...I-I..I love you. Your beautiful. No matter what." He stammered. Nuzzling the pretty she-cat, he said, "We will meet here every night."
"B-but that's breaking the warrior code!" Heathercloud gasped. "Do we care?" He asked. She shuffled her paws, and then shook her head no. He smiled. Licking her nose, he started to hear paw-steps. "Oh no! The medicine cats are back already! Quick, we need to leave. Remember, tomorrow, here again!" He whispered. Splashing puddle water over where the two spots where they had been to hide there scents, he ran. Scrambling up a tree, he glared down at the four medicine cats.
"I think I can leave now, and go back to camp on my own." Ravenbird, the ThunderClan medicine cat, yawned. She started to pad off into the heart of ThunderClan territory.
Icetalon jumped from tree to tree, following the she-cat. Suddenly, he spotted a squirrel. He couldn't help but to kill it- And the dead carcass fell right in front of the black and grey medicine cat. She stared at it, fur on end. Hurrying to the next tree, he saw Ravenbird pelt away from the carcass, screeching out, "Who did that?! Where are you?!"
Branches rattled as the white ThunderClan tom hopped from them. Suddenly, as one rattled, she whipped around. Icetalon leaped down, right behind her. Quickly turning around, The ThunderClan medicine cat gasped. "You scared me out of my fur!" She snapped. Chuckling, the white tom said, "That's what I was going for."
Picking up the carcass of his catch, he padded back to camp, talking with the pretty cat.
When they arrived at camp, he dropped the squirrel on the fresh-kill pile, and turned to Ravenbird. "Sorry for scaring you..." He sighed. She just dipped her head, and the two cats went to their den's.
