Ahhh. Been watching Lord of the Rings again, and the obsession returned. There was a time when all I could think about was Legolas. Here we go agaiiin. XD

I'm really really glad of how Elanor came out. Legolas turned up a bit... weird. I had to retouch his hair and eyebrows on Photoshop.

The backstory to this piece will be on the next post. Please read, it came out EPIC WIN.

Then, things started ho happen real quick. The Balrog of Morgoth gave its whip one last shake, hitting Gandalf and pulling him down.

But Elanor did not see it. One flaming string, strayed out of the fiery whip, enrolled on her exposed leg. Whith a scream, she felt herself lose balance on the narrow bridge and fall into the abyss.

But Legolas swiftly grabbed her hand, and with his elven strength he pulled her back up to the stone. Elanor moaned as she tried to stand on her feet. The skin on her leg was split, in a nasty looking bleeding wound that wouldn't let her walk.

Arrows started whizzing again, the Orcs' nonexistent bravery returning as the Balrog fell. Legolas took Elanor in his arms and held her close, as the Fellowship made its way through the broken bridge. He tried to protect her from the arrows, but one sharp projectile, completely unexpected, sank into Elanor's shoulder. She did not scream, it was already beyond her strength. Instead, she bit her lower lip and pulled the arrow out of her flesh. The arrow fell, with a mute thud sound.

''Ah Eru. Today I seem a magnet'' she muttered, her sight going blurry ''Ah, no, no. No tuning in now.''

Not seeing the confused look on Legolas' eyes, she fell unconscious. The elf quickened his pace, and they finally got out of those cursed mines. The bright sunlight hurt their eyes, but Legolas was an elf, so his sight was entirely perfect. He looked around, quickly spotting Aragorn.

''Aragorn!'' he bellowed. ''Help her please! Elanor is fading!''
