“I’m pretty sure that you’ve heard of my father at least once in your life... Does the name Nicolas Flamel ring any bells? He was alive from 1330-1418, and he was an alchemist due to his workings with the philosopher’s stone. Some people say he turned lead into gold, some people say he actually made the philosopher’s stone. Well, I’ll tell you now, the philosopher’s stone doesn’t exist, and neither can lead be turned into gold.
Back in 1356 Nicolas purchased a 21-page manuscript, filled with an outdated language that was impossible to understand. He made it his life’s work to decode this book. In 1417 however Nicolas and his wife Perenelle managed to decode the book. With this book, Nicolas managed to grant immortality to his children before his own death in 1418.
The children don't age, and have the ability to control one of the four elements. Fire, Earth, Water and Air. They also heal very quickly. But it's not just them that are magical in this world... You see when they were made immortal, everything in the immediate radius mutated genetically... A wide series of flesh eating creatures were created... We call them demons. Me, my brothers and sisters make sure we keep these demons away from the public eye and protect the human race."
What the Alchemists children do not know, is that in the 21st century, they will meet their soul mates, and their greatest battles. Twenty years ago, experimentation was started into immortality. One of the alchemyst's children disappeared and has never been heard of since. The alchemyst's children after all don't all live together, they live across the world and generally only meet up every now and then.
The experimentations led to the creation of a group of children, with immortal bodies but mortal souls. They need to feast on souls to survive and have been preying on humans to steal their souls. They are after the alchemyst's children because they have immortal souls. Yet, it's not just the experiments that the alchemysts must look out for. Their soul mates have turned up, and are the perfect leverage for the experiments to gain the immortal's souls.
(Side note: (how clever that I wrote it at the side huh?) I know there sounds like
a lot of people in this roleplay, but I only want four or five writers with about
four characters between them. If the roleplay gets more than this ammount of
writers wanting to join, I'll just make two roleplays.)
