Romano glared at him. "Like I said, no way in hell. I'd rather die then lose to you." He spat as the ropes dug into his wrists.

Alfred nodded. "It get suffocating in there.... Especially when everyone starts to 'play' with each other...." He said, and noted all the countless times that the residents of the asylum tried to kill/torture/hurt each other. After a while, everyone got used to the smell of blood. Alfred inhaled again. "It's a perfect day~" he said as he started to hold Arthurs's hand.

"Yeah..." Arthur mumbled softly, looking over at Alfred. He winced slightly upon seeing the bloodstained bandage around his neck. He smiled slightly, holding the other's hand back, lacing his fingers in with his. He leaned his head on the American's shoulder, sighing contently to himself. "It is," he said in agreement before closing his eyes. The next breath the pale blond took was somewhat shaky. "I'm sorry...about cutting your neck." Arthur didn't care if Alfred already knew that. He didn't care how many times he had to say it. He just wanted to make sure that the American knew that he wasn't intending to kill him.

Arthur shrugged. "It's fine. Matthew gave me worse..." he said, remembering all the time his brother would violently beat him to a pulp with a hockey stick. But of course, he would always return the favor the next day. They try to avoid each other for their own sakes. His other hand went to his neck, stroking it gingerly. "I did scratch your face up a bit..." he said, trying to make it even. He didn't like it how he kept apologizing. He looked at the flowers and closed his eyes briefly, then looked at England. It feels weird not to fight... But it's also kind of nice.... He leaned over and kissed Arthur.

Arthur shrugged, only half-believing him. He didn't deny that Matthew had beaten up Alfred pretty badly, though. It was scary sometimes. Who knew a hockey stick could cause so much damage? The pale blond chuckled inwardly at the memories of how the American would always get said Canadian back for doing that. It was amusing to watch, no matter how annoying you claimed it to be. "Yeah, a little..." All he had gotten was a nail to the face, whereas he had practically stuck a knife in Alfred's neck. The thought was soon pushed out of his mind as he moved his arms to loop around the American's neck and kiss back.
