I'm not sure how lenient bliss used to be on forms, but I'm going to be cracking down a bit harder on applications. I will be looking at not only length but grammar and such; so make sure you use up to date samples! My motto is quality over quantity, so don't pick your longest post ever if it is not the best, most well-writen piece you have done. I will also be looking through some of your RP's.

Please do not be discouraged by this, or if you are not accepted. Just work on your writing, and come back in a month or so. c: Roleplay is meant to be enjoyed, so please, just have fun with it!

If you are not on this list, please do not be offended. You are very close to meeting the unspoken requirements. Take some time to practice and remember to reapply soon! c:
If you have any further questions, please PM me!

Also, a small note to everyone, if you have not been accepted, do not post after you've posted your form until you have been accepted!
Thanks! c:

Sample of writing: This is a sample of a story I'm currently writing. I'm not super happy with it and it hasn't been edited at all, because I don't usually write humans, but I chose it because it's most current. All writing is copywrited to me, 2012.

The raging ocean waves lashed at the shore as if they would never let go, the relentless wind tearing at the countryside as rain lashed each and every living thing, throwing up mist to shroud the land in anger. Mother Nature was furious. Small creatures trembled and cried out in hidden safety holes, and birds were buffeted and thrown around in the grip of the wind. Ice mixed with the rain, freezing cold, stinging hands of cruelty whipping the travelers’ hair around their faces as they struggled to keep their feet on a cold, lonely path. The sand dunes rose around the two, long grass blown flat in the wrath of the storm. A faint, watery light shone weakly in the distance while thunder crashed, and the world was illuminated eerily as lightning split the air with an electric charge. The travelers struggled onwards, pulling each other along when one slipped or lost their footing. No matter how the wrath of the weather raged around them, they would not give up. The source of light, weak through the darkness, was as a star in a moonless night, a beam of hope signaling the hopeless.

The travelers had to reach that light.

There was no choice.

*****

Though the storm raged and lashed outside, the inn was snug and cozy in its bubble of warmth and light. Music played softly in the background as nigh on a score of people sat around in the main room, cocoa and ale cupped in earthen mugs held close to those who drank of them. A kindly middle-aged woman with graying hair moved around the room, serving bread and drinks to those who had stopped by, and though she was plump around the middle she moved about with a certain agility that most her age would never possess, stopping every now and then to converse in a friendly manner with her customers, most of which who had moved down to the main room for company and a way to pass the time. The delicious scents wafting from the spiced ale and cocoa wreathed around the room, mingling with the steam from a bubbling pot of chicken broth and vegetables on the stove, almost ready to be served. The low murmur of late night conversations filled the room with a low undertone, and though the storm outside made some uncomfortable as flashes of light lit the night outside and rain slashed at the windows, they knew they were safe from nature’s wrath, and all was calm. There was always something about the smell of soup in a snug little inn at night that would put people at peace like nothing else, especially with the rain and thunder outside to increase the sense of warmth and safety within walls, and thus, hominess. The innkeeper’s wife couldn’t help but hum to herself as she bustled about, refilling mugs.

There was a knock at the door.

Immediately all was stilled. The chatter stopped, music faltered in the background. But the storm raged on. The innkeeper shared a glance with his customers who muttered among themselves, but he went all the same to open the door, cautiousness in his step as his boots thumped on the scuffed hardwood floor. Lamplight illuminated his burly outline as he threw open the door, letting the rain and wind in. Several people shuddered and pulled cloaks more tightly around shivering forms, but all turned to see who was at the door.

A pair of small forms collapsed at the threshold.

A collective gasp ran through the room, which soon burst back into action. “The poor souls!” the innkeeper’s wife exclaimed, immediately placing her tray aside and rushing over. Someone shut the door against the cold once more. It was a young boy and girl, exhausted and shivering from the cold and wet, reddened cheeks roughed raw by the sleet and rain. The middle-aged women bent over the two supine figures, concern lacing her kindly features, murmuring to herself as she checked them over. Thunder crashed overhead, and many jumped in their seats. The innkeeper’s wife rushed upstairs, where the sleeping quarters were, to get dry clothing and towels. The two children, who couldn’t be more than ten, and the girl a year or two younger, were sitting up now with the help of some of the townsfolk, and were quickly moved to an emptied couch where they were set up with mug of warm cocoa.

The sitting room returned to pretty much normal after the children had been settled in, though the looks of concern and worry on most of the people’s faces still prevailed, and the general sense of comfort and safety didn’t fully return to the inn once the pair had been sent up to two empty beds. What sort of thing would drive two children to be out in a storm like this?

Any semi-lit/lit RPs you have: None that I own myself but several RPs I've joined.

Sample of writing: Daemn's black horse was running at full throttle as he ran towards the village, and his follower's war cries rumbled like thunder as they trailed behind him down the side of the mountain. The sound of horse hooves shook the ground like an earthquake, and the glare of metal reflected off into the sky as their polished armor blinded any eyes that looked upon it. Daemn's heart hardened with every beat of his horses feet as he focused straight on in the direction of the village; hate was stained on his face as he thought finally all who threw him into hiding was now going to pay. Soon as they neared the thicket line of the forest his horse then took to the sky as wings sprouted, and like a marching band the rest followed in unison. The numeric value of the army darkened the sky as it made a shadow like a rain cloud on a stormy day; Daemn then caught up with his mate as he took Morana's side as he looked over at her, and locked eyes but his hardened expression never changed as they rode over the forest below, and with every kick of his horse's feet him and his army moved forward. He then only looked at her for a few seconds before returning his gaze onward as his heart beat quickened, and his thirst for blood became more prominent. He then reached down into the pouch on the side of his belt, and grabbed out the dark purple crystal that Armora gave him weeks ago, and in a angry cry he called out to Armora's soldiers to aid him in his Latin tongue. It didn't take long as a rift made a tear into the sky, and soon the demons started pouring out like a waterfall of bones and decayed flesh.

Lady was now out on her front porch locking up as she turned to Naz, and asked him one final time before setting out on their adventure, "Did you get everything you need?" She then paused as her happy expression turned to a grimace as she heard the cries of Morana, and rumbling of voices off in the distance. Her horse instincts told her to run, and without hesitation she grabbed Nazar, and told him in a panic, "RUN!...something bad is going to happen!" She then transformed into her horse form as she threw Naz onto her back, and ran into the forest. There in the distance stood an old rotting hollowed out tree that seemed big enough to hide in; so without thinking for one second she ran inside of it as she peek outside. Her eyes took to the sky as she witnessed the cloud of darkness, "Oh my..what in the heavens is that?" Fright filled her very bones as a chill ran down her spine, as she knew that it wasn't a good sign for her or the people of Zulema.

That sample came from Bellus. I tried to fix as many grammar mistakes as possible and checked my punctuation but if any was missed I apologize for it is late.

Hey, guys, you know that dystopian RP that I was talking about like 2083041 pages ago? Well, we still have one male spot open for a secret police officer.

It's mostly based on the Stalin state, but it's in the future. :3

I'm expecting at least 2 paragraphs regularly, FYI. ^^

Link is in my sig. Named "Gray". If you're interested, come on by. I'm closing the RP officially at 12 EST on Friday. :3

I have a rp idea, but I need someone to help me with it.

It's titled, "House of Many Ways" inspired from the 3rd sequel of Howl's Moving Castle, but it's nothing like that.

It's a tv reality show. So there's this mansion, and each floor is different. The first floor's theme is Far-flung Countryside, the second, Victorian Palace, third, Ancient Library, the fourth Alien Futuristic, and the fifth... well, searching for ideas. 5 teens will be invited to live inside it, and they will own one floor each. They can visit each other anytime they like. Lucky right? The rpers will choose any of these personalities + pasts for their teen: rich and popular, happy-go-lucky but unfortunate, smart orphan, the perfect hearthrob etc. [will be brainstormed]

But there's three twists. They will have to act or live like the people in that time. For example, the person living in Victorian Palace should wear big fluffy gowns and hairstyles from that era. There will be people assigned to train/help them. But, the one living in the palace would be the opposite personality. It's not the rich and popular who would have this, but the happy-go-lucky but unfortunate. The rich and popular will get the Ancient Library, etc. Do you get it?

The last twist would be that each week, there will be completely ridiculous tasks assigned to them. I have a few ideas, such as eating cockroaches, taking care of a baby, not walking on the floor, strapping someone to a chair and taking care of them... Until they get fed up, the teens can leave, and the last one standing will win the show. Drama and fights and romance will be encouraged to get more viewers...

So this is just a sketch, can anyone help me?

That seems like a fun idea. The difficult part is figuring out who goes when, since typically few people want to voluntarily leave.
Also: Howl's Moving Castle had a sequel? And a third? I thought all the Hayao Miyazaki movies were stand alones. Googleismyfriend

Edit: ah, lol, I was in a different atmosphere. You meant the books, not the movies. I'm rather dumb aren't I? =3=

Lol, should've said it was the book... sorry.

Yeah, maybe that's what I'll do, a random number generator, including my character... but if somebody disappears then we'll just act as if he left, or something.

Re: Semi-Literate+ and Roleplayer's Club

I'm thinking about making a roleplay about the alchemyst Nicholas Flamel and how he made his children immortal... The children will all be able to contol one of the elements (earth, air, fire, water), and will be able to heal rapidly;

“I’m pretty sure that you’ve heard of my father at least once in your life... Does the name Nicolas Flamel ring any bells? He was alive from 1330-1418, and he was an alchemist due to his workings with the philosopher’s stone. Some people say he turned lead into gold, some people say he actually made the philosopher’s stone. Well, I’ll tell you now, the philosopher’s stone doesn’t exist, and neither can lead be turned into gold.

Back in 1356 Nicolas purchased a 21-page manuscript, filled with an outdated language that was impossible to understand. He made it his life’s work to decode this book. In 1417 however Nicolas and his wife Perenelle managed to decode the book. With this book, Nicolas managed to grant immortality to his children before his own death in 1418.

The children don't age, and have the ability to control one of the four elements. Fire, Earth, Water and Air. They also heal very quickly. But it's not just them that are magical in this world... You see when they were made immortal, everything in the immediate radius mutated genetically... A wide series of flesh eating creatures were created... We call them demons. Me, my brothers and sisters make sure we keep these demons away from the public eye and protect the human race."

What the Alchemists children do not know, is that in the 21st century, they will meet their soul mates, and their greatest battles. Twenty years ago, experimentation was started into immortality. One of the alchemyst's children disappeared and has never been heard of since. The alchemyst's children after all don't all live together, they live across the world and generally only meet up every now and then.

The experimentations led to the creation of a group of children, with immortal bodies but mortal souls. They need to feast on souls to survive and have been preying on humans to steal their souls. They are after the alchemyst's children because they have immortal souls. Yet, it's not just the experiments that the alchemysts must look out for. Their soul mates have turned up, and are the perfect leverage for the experiments to gain the immortal's souls.

(Side note: (how clever that I wrote it at the side huh?) I know there sounds like
a lot of people in this roleplay, but I only want four or five writers with about
four characters between them. If the roleplay gets more than this ammount of
writers wanting to join, I'll just make two roleplays.)
