[Ashbreeze]

Icetail
Icetail looked at the tailless as it held out some berries. This tailless smelt of wolf, which was strange because she had only smelt taillesses' that smelt of fox. She sniffed the berries, they smelt safe, so she gently ate them from the wolf-smelling tailless's fore paw. The berries tasted good, so she wagged her tail in thanks and gave a brief wolf smile.

Anuun
Anuun noticed that Teala, had seemed to gain the wolf's trust, so she sat down again. She looked up at the sky and noticed that the moon was almost full. She heard a wolf howl in the distance, it sounded like it came from the mountain. The howl didn't sound right either, as if the wolf was in some kind of trouble.

Ashensong
Ashensong howled, the loudest howl she ever did. The searing hot pain in her leg stopped her from getting up, the bears claws had cut deep into her flank. She howled one last time before she could no longer. She whined and tried to get up again, she failed. She was exhausted from the fight, the last moment when she pounced towards the bear and was batted away with one swipe of its paw.

Sable

Sable stopped her head long rush as she heard a long howl, a howl that meant danger. She stopped in her tracks and thought, should she save the wolf or go to the Tailless. She decided for the first choice and turned, going towards the howl. She ran fast at first but then went to a trot, there could be danger and she didn't want to run straight into it.

Teala

Teala smiled, something very unusual for her as she usually prefered to hide her emotions, and glanced at the wolf, taking in the white fur and blue eyes. She was glad that the wolf seemed okay, and it was surprisingly friendly. Teala was used to most wolves not coming that near but, thinking about it, this wolf didn't really have a choice.

Ashensong
Ashensong scented the air, a wolf was coming towards her. She gave a loud bark-howl to let the wolf know where she was. She hoped it would come quickly, as she could still smell the bear was close. Very close. She whined at the thought of it coming back to finish her off.

Icetail
Icetail only now relized that she was hungry, but she knew for a fact she was exhausted. She looked up at the tailless and wagged her tail, More? She sat down, waiting to see if the tailless would give her more. She scented the air, some of the other taillesses' smelt like raven, otter, fox and there was even another wolf-smelling tailless.

Sable
Sable heard the howl and was about to race forward when the scent of bear stopped her, so that was what was wrong. She knew a bear was hard to kill or stop but maybe if she distracted it the other wolf should get away. She forced her legs to move as she approached the scent of the bear, fighting off the thought that she was going in the wrong direction, she should be going away from the bear.

Teala
Teala understand what the wolf wanted and reached into her pouch again. First her fingers found berries but then settled on a chunk of dried meat. She would save some of the berries for Sable and the wolf would probably like the meat, it was from a buck someone in her tribe had shot. A lot of food had been got from it, nothing wasted. She held out the meat.

Icetail
Icetail took the meet from the tailless's forepaw, she lay down and put it between her paws. She started to eat it. The meat tasted good and juicy. When she finished and her hunger was gone, she wagged her tail in thanks. I'm Icetail., she then said. She sat up again and licked her lips.

Teala
Teala had to think a second before answering. There was no word for Teala in wolf so she decided to say the name she told Sable she was called. "I'm Hawkfur," she replied. She had chosen this because, to a wolf, her eyes would look more bird-like than wolf-like because of how dark they were.

Icetail
Icetail grinned at Hawkfur, she scented Hawkfur again. She smelled the scent of another wolf. You smell of another wolf., she told her. Why is this wolf not with you?, she continued. And Icetail knew that the other wolf was not with Hawkfur, she could smell it anywhere else apart from Hawkfur.

Ashensong
Ashensong continued to try to get up, she kept falling. The wound had made her lose alot of blood, so she was weak. Ashensong had an idea. She dragged herself with her forepaws away from the scent of the bear. She was moving slowly, but it was working. She dug her claws deep into the bright soft cold so she could get a better grip.

Teala | Hawkfur
"The other wolf is Sable, she is hunting," Teala replied, also smiling. She didn't actually know what Sable was doing but this was most likely, the black wolf wouldn't just waste time, she would be doing something constructive like hunting.

Sable
Sable saw the bear and scented wolf, and blood. The bear turned it's head, scenting the air, and spotted her. It seemed to prefer an injured wolf. With a short howl, she leapt forward infront of the bear, hackles up and fangs beared. She then backed away from the bear.

Icetail
That explains a lot., she said. She then padded towards the woods, I should get back to my pack., she said before she padded into the woods. She would travel back the next day, but for now, she would rest near the taillesses'. She rested by the fast-wet and soon drifted into sleep.

Ashensong
Ashensong was making it further from the bear, she just hoped it wouldn't find her. She also hoped the other wolf was ok, she didn't want it to get hurt. She noticed a bolder and dragged her self underneath it.

Teala | Hawkfur
"May the hunting be good," Teala, or Hawkfur as she was known by the wolf, said as the wolf padded away. Then she stood up and looked, surprised to see the other people still there. She had forgotten about them completely while the had been communicating with the wolf.

Sable
Again the bear turned away from her and started following the blood trail but then turned suddenly towards Sable, she had leapt forward and swiftly bitten it's leg. Sweeping round, it batted at Sable with a massive paw, the black wolf barely got out the way. Then she began to pad backwards away from it to see if it would follow.
