@Mr.Milo: I'm no cheetah expert, but I suggest adding lines to show the tendons on the ankle, basically where the back leg bends, before the foot starts.
http://media.treehugger.com/assets/imag ... oad-jj.jpgYou should be able to see it quite easily in that image. Adding muscle lines, or showing some contouring beneath the skin, helps it look more believable. As it is, your drawing is really great, especially that back right leg. Everyone usually makes it far too long, when drawn at that angle, but it looks great there. Looking at the size of the head compared to the photo, too, you might want to size it down a bit. It could just be me being thrown off by the mane, there.

thanks for that picture and advice i see what you mean, i usally shade the muscle structure in so ill make sure to add that! and its not all a cheetah but strongly based on one.
@horselover: aww what an adorable picture, the back leg of the dog in the front kind of looks odd and as frot he one at the bottom its heel should be a bit shorter. (i think its called a heel??)

I am going to have redlines up for everyone as well as some comment+critique sketches for those who didn't want a redline up in just a minute, I'm not ignoring anyone I just rather to explain things with drawings, so I will edit this post to avoid a double once I get those up, but meanwhile I'd like some
comments on the drawing i finished recently.

Horselover, For you I'd suggest to look a little more on the fox anatomy.sure, a fox's nose is long, but remember that It not is soposed to look like a glas that you just have stuck onto the head, but I'd suggest to make it look mlre natural. It's really a adoreble pose, but as I said; strydy more fox anatomy.
Mr. milo, I am not good at big cats, and there is not much I can help with. I'd suggest to not be afraid of adding more lines to show the body structure; it's a little unclear.

finally, pen pressure to the tablet! Doloring is a little sloppy, I was just Sketching mostly.

I'm drawing it for a friend.
(Both are foxes)

I know it's really bad and it's just a sketch now cause i wanted to
make sure i got everything right before i colored it and stuff.
I
red(and blue)lined it for you^^. You've got a great start on a really tricky pose. For foxes i think their bodies looks a little bit too long and they could need bigger and poofier tails. Concidering the angle of the heads I think the necks looks quite a bit long too, I think the turned head should mask much of the neck. Other than that it's lovely, I hope you post it again once it's finished^^.

Oh, it's a beautiful painting, I love the colours you chose and his eyes are beautiful. I love the water-patterns on his face, I'd love to have seen more of that kind of light effects, because found it hard to guess it's below water. Perhaps a bit more blue colours could help to pronounce the watery feeling even more.

@Mr.Milo wrote: I really like this piece. I believe you have the anatomy almost right, but the front legs seem a little long. Do not trust me 100% though, as I am not a big cat artist.
