This Ancient is to never be sold once it is owned. No one is allowed to try and offer any sort of payment for it or they will automatically be banned from the adoptables for two weeks! Once an Ancient belongs to someone it is their alone and while comments are appreciated, offering payment is not. Believe me, no one else could offer what these people pay for their Ancients so try to be considerate of our main rule!

"A cold chill fills the air as you walk confidently in the dead of night. You have heard the tales of a very dark and powerful Ancient Rune Dragon that can only be summoned by those who have experienced death themselves. Your own Rune sits upon your shoulder terrified, as his plumage fluffs out so that he appears twice his size. This is no time to show fear as you clutch a dark stone in your hands. This Rune Stone holds a blood red design at it's center and it's surface is cold to the touch. The stone was given to you by a young woman who sported a green hoodie and was dressed as if she had traveled all across the lands. She had passed the stone to you as if from nowhere, insisting that you were it's rightful owner and to be careful with such a powerful gift. You remember the words she spoke to you, "You are someone who is misunderstood by others, people cast you aside and presume you an abnormal being, but in all truth you have simply been through much more then most. You have overcome trials that most beings your age should not go through and a part of you is drawn to the stories of this Ancient Rune." Her words rang true and you feel a kinship as you clutch the Rune Stone closely to your heart and travel far to the Ancient's home. It has taken many days to get here as you soon whisper the beasts true name, to summon the great creature, and wait in silence to see if it will come.
A fierce wind picks up and whips around you as you try to keep your rune dragon from falling over as well as yourself. Clouds dissipate overhead as a full moon shines down and casts an unearthly silver glow across the landscape. You open your eyes to see no Ancient before you and are almost about to admit your loss when a chill stops you cold. An icy breath sounds behind you as the hairs on your neck stand on end. Turning slowly around, you come face to face with a great beast whose skin is as black as obsidian and eyes burn with the glow of a fell ember. 'You summoned me child...' the voice resonates inside the creature's skull-like mask, which you have yet to determine is truly a part of the dragon or just a gruesome ornament piece before you remember to respond. "I have come to see if the tales were true and to seek bonding with you oh great one." Your voice is shaky at first and it takes everything you have not to shy away from the terrifying image before you. The Ancient narrows his eyes as you feel it peer deep into your soul and pick away at your mind, nothing can be hidden from those searching eyes and you face it truthfully, as you dare not hide any secrets when he inspects you.
'You seem to be misunderstood by others. Your kind alienates you based on your appearance and actions, but what others can not see is the true you. Alone and strong, you and I are alike. Others see us with scrutiny, when in truth we are the ones who bring about peace and change...' It's voice echos within it's skull mask as you feel yourself warm to the Ancient. Everything it said was true and it bows it's head a bit as you raise a small hand to touch the smooth bone mask hiding it's true face. Blue flames assumed to be spirits, fly about aimlessly and you see a new beauty in this creature of death. "I would be honored if I may call you a friend oh great one." The large dragon bends it's head close to you as you hear it whisper in your ear, sending another wave of shivers down your spine as he spoke softly yet with a deep reassuring sound. 'Kindred spirits always flock together young human. Only the misunderstood truly know what friendship is...but we also do not fear death or being alone. We embrace it.' And so the eternal bounds of summoner and dragon were made and tales of the young girl and the dark Ancient spread as the rune even took on the form of a human, from time-to-time, to be with it's summoner. Whether to be the summoner's lover or as a close friend was never known, but they never left each other's side and were always seen close to one another in a loving embrace till the ends of time." ~Benathorn

Curious Writings wrote:Journal Entry #24-Study Notes-~Summoning Stone of Darkness- Rune stone is a large oval shaped onyx with a deep crimson rune carved into it. Passed the stone to it's new owner in hopes that they are able to summon the Ancient of Death.
~Hope that it does not kill them in the process but the young person seemed to have a strong will and the stone reacted to them as if in calling.
~The Ancient Rune has many names; Death, Reaper, Solemn, Avenger, Keeper, etc...What it's "true" name is however can only be known by it's summoner...
~Many sightings suggest that this Ancient shape shifts into various animals and even a human. Most sightings cite the favored forms of Ravens, Black Wolves, and even a tall dark skinned man-human with silver colored hair, wearing a mask...
