Eriko treaded through the woodland quietly, the ground damp and unfamiliar underpaw. His black fur, once long and flowing in stature, now hung on the brute in dirty clumps that hugged his oh-so skinny body. He was a walking skeleton, every bone in his body jutting out painfully from his skin. The brute squinted his ice blue orbs, trying to find some sign of life ahead. But alas! The mist that swirled around him clouded his vision; thus no sign of wolf was in sight. A small sigh escaped Eriko's lips, his breath billowing in front of him like his own little thunderclouds. The steamy air swirled and danced in front of Eriko before floating gracefully upward, fading into the air forevermore. Eriko flicked his ears and snapped his head to the left, gazing at the brown brute who stood beside him. "Kei, I thought you said you knew where you were going." he growled, narrowing his eyes at his half-brother. He should have known than to trust Kei with this sort of thing! The last time he asked Kei for directions, they were simple. All Eriko desired was to go down to the lake for a drink, and what did Kei get them into? He took them to a pasture filled with elk and they were almost trampled to death! Eriko slightly shuddered at the memory, remembering the way the animals' hooves clapped sharply around him, threatening to squash him down.

Kei lead Eriko through he mist-engulfed wooldand, his head and tail high. His large ears swiveled in all directions, pricking at any sound they percieved. His brown ears erect, his green eyes narrowed, he was truely a magnificent sight to see. Well, that would be the case if he wasn't skin-and-bones, and his belly was yowling audibly with hunger. An old traveler had once told him of a Pack that lived in the North, one that was accepting new members. However, what the traveler did not tell Kei was of the obstacles they would have to overcome to get here. Twice, Kei almost lost a paw in a hunter's trap, and Eriko nearly tumbled off of a steep rock when they climbed over a mountain.
Suddenly, a voice sounded beside Kei and he snapped out of his thoughts, his orbs swiveling to his left.. As they fell upoon his half-brother, Eriko, Kei could see the undisguised suspicion that his eyes held. "Kei, I thought you said you knew where you were going." Eriko had growled to him, narrowing his eyes in annoyance. Kei sighed and rolled his eyes at his brother, looking 'round the forest curiously. "I do!" he barked indigantely, his head turning to face Eriko once more. "The traveler said that after we climbed the mountain, me made a left at the watering hole and kept going straight until we enetered the mist-filled forest." He looked around dumbly for a moment and started to walk off again. "Well, in case you haven't noticed: we're in a forest, and it's mist-filled!"
Kei smirked as he heard Eriko sigh behind him and start to walk, quickly catching up with his half-brother. "I know, I just don't know if that old traveler was very trustworthy." he objected, looking at Kei briefly as they walked. "And besides," Eriko suddenly wrinkled his nose in disgust, "He smelled like crowfood!"
A light laugh escaped Kei's lips as he playfully nudged his brother. "Well, so do we!" he barked, a playful glimmer in his eyes. "Come on now, don't be so frumpy." He formed his lips into a pout and burst out in laughter as Eriko's tail shot up in indigance.
